This tool is aweome!
Not sure what the negative reviews are, but go figure some people can't figure out how to put it together without instructions (that are in the package). Disregard the dm fks that have issues. This tool is great and I bought it for a wiring project I had in my carport. Worked EXCELLENT!

some revues clamed the tool was cheap but I did the whole garage with this tool and had not one hiccup.

Good but cheaply made.
With a little practice the tool works very well and saves a lot of time. On 1/2” MC Set the tool to small MC cable and push in the red tab on the backside. DO NOT Squeeze the handle very hard at all. Turn the handle should not be very much resistance at all. After a couple cranks, you will fill it stop cutting. Take cable out. Turn it counterclockwise, and the shielding will come right off.The bad: After about 35 cuts. The hex shaft that holds the blade stripped out. The bolt that holds the blade on was very tight so that was not the problem. I did not abuse The tool or rough with it. The hex on the shaft that fits in the cutting blade just stripped out. I just took a small lock washer and put on the blade and tighten the nut down on it. So the lock washer is holding the blade in place. I’ve done another 100+ cuts has worked fine.

if you use a lot of mc, this tool is a must
it works for every size mc i have had to use without having to make any kinds of adjustments. it doesn't damage the wire (when used correctly). its fast and its easy on your hands. i've used other brands and klein's is definitely superior. i have had a similar klein in the past (this is a replacement) and it only got damaged because i made the mistake of letting people who did not respect other people's property borrow it.

Great tool for MC cable
Note that you have to install the blade in to the tool. The blade is located in the handle. Very easy to put together. A must if you are doing MC work.
