Buy it, and don't look back
Running a 16 core Supermicro board with 64GB ECC ram in this guy, and it works great. To keep temperatures reasonable I did glue in an 80mm fan that blows across the CPU heatsink. I have 2 hard drives and no graphics cards. Very high quality and nice looking. It's difficult finding this level of quality any more.

Solid, Compact mini-ITX case
Solid case, well built. 2 nits to pick that don't significantly detract from the design - the power supply has no fan, and the front door could use a mechanism to hold the door shut when not locked such as a spring latch. Other than this, no complaints.Should fit non-Supermicro ITX boards, but you will need a header (sold separately) to connect the LED and switch wiring to a non-Supermicro Board and any CPU fan will need to be low profile.

Nikki's Pros and Cons of this SuperMicro iTX Case
SuperMicro iTX small cube casePros:- Very compact- 4 Hot Swap 3.5"/2.5" drive bays- Included 250w Flex PSU- Well made- Removable mobo trayCons:- Not all Flex PSUs will fit, mainly due to the fact that some power supplies have a power switch that will not fit the back of the case.- The included power supply, although includes 2 x Molex, 2 x SATA, 24 Mobo, and 2 x 4-pin CPU plugs, but you can only attach one of the 4-pin CPU plugs to a non-supermicro motherboard. This is fine if your mobo only needs one 4-pin plug, but if it needs two 4-pin (4+4) CPU plugs it will not work. Both 4-pin plugs are keyed the same so it will only fit the 4-pin plug closest to the 24-pin port. ***If anyone knows of a solution to this please let me know.- Only supports USB 2.0- Airflow through the 4 drive bays could be better. I recommend only using 5400 rpm drives to keep the temps down.- Price is a bit high and at around 150 it should come with 3.0 ports and better attention to mobo power requirements.- The front case connectors are designed for a SuperMicro mobo. You WILL NEED a front panel cable adapter sold by SuperMicro.Having said all that and with hopes of fixing the 4+4 CPU power issue, I really like this case. It is one of the smallest iTX cases that supports 4 x 3.5" hot-swappable drives and is well made by a respectable company.

Small and works without issue
I needed a RAID for home storage and wanted external access to drive bays, small footprint, and looked nice. This case fit my need, but with restrictions. Some caveats to consider: Internal space restrictions require motherboard to be removed for service (i.e. changing jumpers, moving/correcting headers, adding/re-seating ram...). Significant limitations on the PCIe add-on card. Make sure it will fits before you spend any money on one. CPU Fan must be low profile.

I want to love it, but some annoying, cheap, unnecessary choices by Supermicro make it difficult.
I was very excited when I first got this case. The build quality was excellent, the aesthetics are clean and understated, and the features are functional. As I was putting my Asus H110I motherboard in it, however, I found there were no leads to connect it to. Just one 16 pin cable for the front panel that presumably is proprietary to a Supermicro mobo. Turns out I needed the CBL084L. No problem. $10 on ebay, and I can just jump the motherboard with my keys until it gets here to start it. Then I went to install my 2.5 inch hard drives, figuring there would be holes on the bottom of the drive sled for 2.5 inch drives, but no, you need to buy a separate adapter plates. That's another $50 with tax on Ebay and now I'm really stuck without a usable NAS until they get here.I'm going to hold onto this case because it seems like it's designed better than the Chenbro alternative. Airflow definitely looks better on the Supermicro because of the use of a flex PSU. However, it's going to be hard for me to recommend Supermicro for projects like this, and I'll definitely see if there are alternatives to them for future projects. It's not like these are even expensive parts - just a few metal plates and some wires. Ffs, just put them in the box.

This case works great with my Supermicro X10SDV-TLN4F server board
This case works great with my Supermicro X10SDV-TLN4F server board. This system has one large cooling fan in the back which runs slowly and silently since this system doesn't produce much heat. It has four 3.5" hot swap bays in the front, and two additional 2.5" drive bays internally. I set mine up with two SanDisk Extreme Pro drives for virtual workloads, and two Hitachi 3TB drives for archive data and nearline backups. I also used the Sabrent BK-PCBS 2.5" to 3.5" adapters so I could mount the 2.5" Extreme Pro SSD's in the hot swap bays. Overall this system is quiet and works great. It has all the marks of the high quality I have come to expect from Supermicro.

Only supports Supermicro itx Motherboards listed on their website
This case only supports Supermicro Motherboards, the front panel connection does not fit in other itx motherboards.I needed a lower power itx motherboard for storage server but supermicro's quad core celeron does not support ecc memory, highly recommended by freenas. Would not recommend this case unless you plan to use one of supermicro's motherboard, I ordered this case and accidently threw away the box, I then ordered the IN WIN IW-MS04-01-S265 case to use with my Gigabyte J1900n-d3V motherboard.

Item well packaged and protected. Arrived timely and reasonably ...
Item well packaged and protected. Arrived timely and reasonably priced. Well designed case, hard drive hot-swap backplane, cd/dvd slot on case top, and secure locking features. Please note that a front fan for air intake is optional and most likely not needed for TDP 80W cpus boards withouta pcie x16 (slot 7) installed gpu. The 250W psu was replaced with FSP Group 400W psu to power four bay 3.5" HDD and one 2.5" SSD for a ASRock Rock Xeon E3-1245v5 server board (with IPMI, COMM, VGA ports) running OpenSUSE-leap. Important - must purchased Supermicro CBL-0084L: Front Control Panel Split Cable ($7), and 1-pin multicolored jumper cables (4" and 8") IF motherboard isn't a Supermicro! This allows connecting front panel control switches and leds to other manufacturer mobo, Case's 120mm fan adequate and quiet under 1K rpm.

Great case, but HDDs run quite hot.
I decided to upgrade my U-NAS NSC410 to this after switching from a Xeon D to a Xeon E server. Great choice, as you have more room for the cooler (I could fit the Cryorig C7 on the Xeon E 2778G).On the down side, with my setup (all 4 drive bays populated), the typical temperatures SMART reads are, 46,47,52,53. That, I expect, spells bad things for the HDDs' durability (but then again, I have the Seagate Enterprise NAS, so I needn't worry much - but beware for those using desktop-class storage). One more thing, which doesn't impact me, but could imact others: the front panel connector is SuperMicro-specific, you'll need an adapter cable to use them with a non-SM board (either that, or just splice the connector - you can fund the pinout on most SM boards' respective pages).

Funcional
