I loved reading this book! Alyson includes tips for every facet of getting dressed with great style. I have recommended it to all my friends.

This book has some good advice but not much that's new. Like many style books, there is too much from stylists or celebrities and not enough practical advice about putting outfits together and using accessories. It also needs pictures of real women.

I enjoyed this book. It's chunky little shape was appealing to me... as were the illustrations. I read books on fashion and styling regularly and still picked up several ideas I can use (no more black coats for me), but what I really appreciated was the conversation on embracing age rather than engaging in the losing battle of trying to stay forever young. A quick, thoughtful read.

No photos, just El Greco-like elongated figures. Written by someone apparently from Great Britain and many words and references were/are a mystery to me: took me quite a while to realize that" trainers" are what I call tennis shoes or sneakers. That's no one's fault.Quotes from people I don't know is my fault for not living in USA nor Great Britain. ..but neither does it make reading the book a pleasure.

I've been recommending this book to all my friends. It's a classy reminder of staying stylish without needing to look like a model.

I follow Alyson Walsh's blog and have been looking forward to reading this book. I did not learn one new thing. Iris Apfel was the only "Inspirational Woman" that I knew and she's very interesting, but hardly a role model.
