I think it's nice for the money
I bought the 6 inch and this 12inch one. You can do extra things with this then you can with a regular speed square. The don't replace one the just do a few things more

The white "paint" inside the etched marks is rubbing off
I actually like this thing. I think its a great little speed square and use it often. However, I've had it for only a month and the white paint on one side of the square is rubbing off, making it hard to read the measurements on that side.

Like the size and scribe lines but wasn’t square
I’m a big fan of Milescraft products (counted 12 of their products I purchased from Amazon alone) and this was one of my favorites. I’ve been using it routinely for a while and liked the ease of use, scribe lines and size. Recently I saw someone mention it on a woodworking deal group and how the one they purchased wasn’t square. So I double checked mine and sure enough it was off from all my other squares and when doing a line test. My bad for not checking it as I had grown to trust their products. So I took off the bottom piece using the 2 bolts to see if that was the cause and found out there is a notch so it can’t be used without that piece, as a square at least. I then put the bottom piece back on, but backwards, and once put back together, the issue was corrected and it was square. Makes me wonder if there is some variability on the bottom piece so it can be off depending on which direction it’s put together. Or maybe the screws were off and that corrected it but feels like the bottom piece was the cause. Just an idea to try before throwing it away. Hope that helps
