Best Game Headphones ever
If you're looking for a pair of cheap surround sound headphones that will work, these are legit.Ok I gotta tell you the quick start guide gets you good on pairing the bluetooth with your PS3 but the problem is that the headphones have to be paired with the wireless station that is plugged into the PS3 via USB, and the manual doesn't tell you how to do that, so here's how you get that done:When you first hit power on the wireless base station, the power button on the front will slowly fade in and out. Press and hold the power button on the side until you see the power button in the front blink at a constant rate (not fading) at a fast rate.. Not like super fast, but a bit faster compared to the slow fading in and out. If it's blinking super fast like a rave party, repeat the process coz that's the wrong mode (I'm not sure what mode that is). Once you got the wireless station beeping at a fairly rapid (but not super fast) rate, then:Turn the headphones off if they're on by holding the power button in the center of the left earpiece. Once the phones are off, you're going to go through a process so read this part first until you get it before you start:Hold down the power button on the headphones and continue holding it down. You will hear three different sections of beeps. The first one is a simple beep beep, which signifies phones turning on, the second goes "bloop bloop bloop bloop" like a major chord arpeggio, like the singing la la la la exercises, then the 3rd set of beeps is like the first..Once you hear the third set, let go of the power button and WAIT. after 10-30 seconds the lights on the base station will reset and then the power light will be solid and you'll hear sound through the headsets, but remember you do have to set it up correctly through the PS3 as it describes in the quick start guide too. These rock. The only cons I can think of:1. They shut off after around 20 minutes of silence, so like when pausing the game and looking on the internet for clues/cheats, talking on the phone, which is annoying because the pairing process I described above must be done every time you turn them on. The good thing is, once you get used to it it's no problem! You can just turn it on and say you're getting coffee.. Turn them on, wait for the 3 beeps, then just lay them down, by the time you get your coffee they'll be paired and ready!2. Well there's really only the one con..and the sound quality is amazing! And you can use the bluetooth pairing method described in the quick start guide to pair it to your phone the same way you pair it to your PS3. It is dual-pairing and when you receive a call you can answer and talk on your gaming headset. Though I personally don't like the idea of calls interrupting my gaming sessions :)

Previous PX5 Owner
I am coming from a few years of using a pair of PX5s. They were programmable from a Windows PC and had some decent sound settings to isolate footsteps, etc. These only have very basic settings, so if you are a serious gamer who wants to isolate sounds, like footsteps, look elsewhere. These are decent headphones, but they only have four basic sound settings, normal, treble, bass, and treble & bass. There is also a four stop limiter button to cut out sounds that are too loud from damaging your eardrums. The chat is bluetooth, but PS4 doesn't support it as of yet. So, the PX4's use a cable to connect to the controller for chat until bluetooth is enabled.Be sure to change the PS4 device output settings on the controller to only chat, not all, because "all audio" switches off the optical out. You can control the volume and sound (chat or all) sent to the controller by pressing the PS button on the controller and selecting devices. The volume change happening in a PS4 menu is a pain. So, I have mine set to max, and adjust the main sound down. The PX4's do use a overall volume logic with the limiter button so that top end volume is cut back if things get too loud. When bluetooth is enabled on the PS4, you should be able to use the mute, and volume control buttons. Oh, why buttons for chat volume? Was a dial that much more expensive to include? (there is a dial for the main volume, but not for the chat volume)I had some cutting out of power on the transmitter, not sure what was happening there. I thought it may have been problems between the USB 3.0 outlet and what appears to be a USB 2.0 plug from the transmitter. I plugged the transmitter into a PC USB outlet that is always on, and that problem seems to have gone away. (Or, it could have been I wasn't using the headphones and it shut off. I noticed the transmitter turns on when I turn on the headset and turns off when I turn off the headset.)Sound quality: Decent enough. I didn't notice any transmission interference like I did with the PX5s.Build: Cheaper than the PX5s, the cup of which eventually broke and survived by using plastic ties to engineer a fix. No customizable sound settings, i.e., no darth vader or chipmunk voices....The internal battery is a plus. I used rechargeables with my PX5's, and changing out batteries and recharging was getting old. The drawback will be the battery life and having to replace it with something proprietary from TB.Cons: chat cable is a temporary measure until Bluetooth is enabled, but expect Sony to fix the Bluetooth in the near future once other bugs are fixed. No verbal menu cues , "Powering Off", "Bluetooth Powering On", etc. You only get a series of beeps only R2D2 would understand....I'll figure it out.I suppose the PX4 will compete with the Sony PS headsets, and they are similarly priced (more expensive though). I don't have a pair of the Sonys so, I can't do a comparison. They do sound decent.Bottom line: They are a good but cheap version of a high end headset. They also work with the PS4 (although currently you have to use the chat cable until the PS4's bluetooth is enabled for chat).

Everything is working nicely so far and is exactly what I wanted
The product arrived on time and in its original, sealed packaging. Everything is working nicely so far and is exactly what I wanted. I got this unit to replace my old unit who's battery was no longer holding charge (after >3 years). Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Great headphones on PS4.
I have used these for a couple of months now after buying them for Battlefield 4 on the PS4 and I love them. The surround sound works very well in FPS games (tried on BF4 and CoD AW). I know people have said that they can hear footsteps creeping up on them etc and you can but more so in CoD where there is a fraction of the stuff going on compared to BF4. In BF4 you have vehicle sounds and gunfire which more often than not (and rightly so) drowns out the sound of someone coming up behind you.Pros:Comfort - can wear them for hours and barely know that they're there.Audio quality - For gaming, they're incredible. They haven't turned me into a one man radar but the surround sound is pretty spot on.Mic - I love that it's detachable and the PS4 auto detects when you plug the mic into the headset.Controls - quite a few adjustments can be made. Surround sound field, bass, explosion dampening mic volume etc.Construction - These feel well made and built to last. Not sure what others are doing to theirs but I see no problems so far.Battery life - I haven't timed how long they last or if it's up to the manufacturer's claims but it's pretty damn good.Connection - Generally they just work flawlessly. It has dropped a few times and I'm not sure quite why but it comes back by itself after 20-30 seconds. No piece of tech is perfect 100% of the time.Cons:Ok, they're not truly wireless on the PS4 because you have to connect the headset to your PS4 controller. Not really worth knocking off a star though. The worst point for me was the sound field setup - the thing that determines the angles of the sound so that you can hear stuff going on in front of you and around you accurately. Maybe I'm just being slow but all the other controls like bass level and explosion dampener have say 4 levels and a corresponding number of beeps. Simple. But the sound field one uses a sequence of flashing lights on the front of the bluetooth dongle unit that plugs into the PS4. I feel that could have done with a diagram or something. I figured it out by trial and error.

Cuffie Eccellenti!
