Canoe Creek White Aluminum Screen Door (80x36)

My shipment of 2 screen doors arrived quickly, several days faster than promised. Cardboard packaging and shrink wrap were more than adequate to protect the doors during shipment. The door itself seems to be solid and stiff enough to hold up over the coming years. The installation directions were a bit terse, and need to be followed closely. It would be helpful if the various Figures (drawings) in the directions were in a larger format. Also, a couple helpful hints for Do-It-Yourself person like me. I was concerned with installing the Left, Right, and Top Z-bars in my non-square door openings on my screened-in porch. For example: "HINT: Use a carpenter's square when installing the Top Z-Bar to check for squareness relative to the Z-bar where the handle will be installed. This will ensure a good fit when adjusting the door clearance in the next steps."Door handle and pneumatic closer were easy enough to install, but again the directions were printed on a small 6"x8" piece of paper, a minor nuisance.

So I consider myself fairly handy, but this door was a pain in the butt to install. I get that it's difficult to do a one-size-fits-all door, but the amount of careful cutting of multiple pieces was annoying. I say careful cutting because the door scratches very easily and you'll end up with marks everywhere if you are not careful. My advice if you buy this is take it slow and steady with your cuts. It also already came with a few marks and chips on it and I'm not going to the expense of returning it. For the cost that was disappointing. I ended up ordering a touch up kit for this door I found online and am hoping that somewhat hides some of the more obvious marks. My last beef with this door is the cost. For the price I was expecting something way more substantial/beefier that I got. This door should be no more than $200 tops. It's a simple, no frills screen door so this company is definitely raking in a huge profit by charging what they charge. Unfortunately there are not a ton of options that I could find that were similar to this door so it is what it is, but if you can find something similar local for less cost, go for it.

unfortunatly the screen came in broken, The catoon cover was damaged but we could not wait for a new one we had to replace the screen. other than that the door is now installed and I am pleased with it.

This product was easy to install. I used it as the door of an area of my deck and the aesthetics and the screen quality matched the excellent quality of screen I obtained for the other enclosed area in fact it matched. It was teh best exterior screen door I could find and it lived up to what I read and saw before ordering

It’s great looking. Looks like custom wood door. Excellent mechanism. Used paint that adheres to metal to match house. Changed doorknob out (not pretty) & it looks like it’s been there forever on my 1925 house:).Warning: the screen came in damaged from shipping but my carpenter replaced it quickly with screen that matches rest of porch.

Door works very well once installed and looks great, but instructions were terrible. Made something that should have been simple difficult to install.
