I realized later that the product was not broken.After some investigation, realized that the problem was flat batteries🪫in the sending unit which is affixed on the garage door.Replaced flat batteries with genuine Garage Door Minder batteries (bought on Amazon).Problem solved.So, my current view of this product: Very Good.I no longer forget to close the garage door😎👌👍.I recommend this product because it is extremely easy to set up.Reliable.There are no confusing 'SMART Gimmicks' to mess up the simple setup.Setup is easy and fool proof.Great device to have.No more forgotten open garage door for me.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Please ignore old review below⬇️; Read updated review above⬆️.~~~~~ZERO Star. 🇺🇸The perfect solution for a garage door being left open, I didn’t want Bluetooth. I didn’t want something that opens and closes the door accidentally. Excellent craftsmanship excellent customer service if you leave the door open a light and beeper activates in the house. Installs in three minutes this one is a no-brainer. Great price great product. 👍

This is a great product and it literally took two minutes to put up and have the peace of mind that I won’t accidentally leave my garage door up and leave my items unsecured. It is also so nice to know I won’t be getting an unexpected visitor coming into my house through my open garage door access. I had one little question and I sent an email to the company and no kidding, I had a response to call the owner on his cell phone in about one minute!!! Fantastic customer service!!! Very easy to install and it works as advertised. Returning from grocery shopping I brought my "to Refrigerate" groceries in first. while I was putting them in the fridge I received a phone call and forgot about the balance of the groceries in the trunk, and the garage door was still open. Later that night we received a call from a neighbor that our garage door was open. It had happened once before and I thought it was time to resolve the problem. This item came quickly and the instructions were very clear and straightforward. It only took 15 minutes to install and adjust. I installed the receiver in a place we walk by several time an hour. I turned the beeper OFF so as not to agitate my wife. The receiver is very small is inconspicuous when the alarm is OFF but very visible when it is flashing RED when the door is open. I live in a 50+ HOA type community and we are always calling our neighbors to alert them to their doors left open at night. I'm going to bring this up at our next general meeting so others can benefit from it also.

Installation and setup was not very difficult but batteries were dead after eight months. It uses two unusual 1/2 AA 3.6 Volt Lithium ER14250 batteries. A pair of them costs about $8 meaning I’d be paying a dollar a month to monitor the state of my garage door inside my house. I don’t think it has been worth the cost this past eight months. I was expecting to only have to replace one battery after maybe two years.It appears these cells are connected in parallel, meaning they could have been replaced by a single full size AA 3.6 Volt Lithium battery. Or, in a slightly larger box, two full size AA 3.6 Volt Lithium batteries. Or a rechargeable lithium battery that you’d connect to a USB cable every couple months. The rechargeable battery would probably be cheaper than what they currently have.

This is a GREAT product to monitor your garage door. I have tried several other garage door sensors and they were all cheaply made and unreliable. I came across this one and it is clearly the best one out there and at a reasonable price. Even better is the customer service!! I made a mistake during installation and called the support number. The inventor, Robert, answered the phone and had me all set up in 2 minutes. He is very proud of his invention and assured me that he would guarantee it for as long as I own it and after speaking with him I have no doubt that he will. If you are after a garage door sensors GET THIS ONE.

good product but too pricey

This is going to be very helpful. Right out of the box I couldn't figure out why the setup instructions weren't working. I finally tried the "extra" set of batteries that I ordered and that fixed everything, so mine shipped with dead batteries, despite the plastic pull tabs still being in place. Other than that unexpected Ezra expense, I love this. It was simple to set up, simple to install, and hopefully I'll never go to sleep with my garage door open again.
