Super Helpful Guide! Felt Less Overwhelmed Getting Started With My Company's Website.
I'm still in the middle of the book but so far its extremely helpful. I so much appreciate people that can make things simple and clear to understand. I'm working on building my company's website and brand and this is just, without-a-doubt, so peace giving!One thing I will say to the author or the author's editor is that there are a LOT of sentence errors. For example page 58 has two in almost one paragraph:1. "I often get asked, "What order would be put these sections in?"There are some words missing in that sentence.And just below that there's,2. "At the end of a couple short hours, the hundreds of businesses leaders in the room have wireframes a website that will work."I think you meant *business leaders.*Things like that are pretty common in this book and if you're trying to build trust with your readers, that your materials DO in fact work, it might be worth making sure things are grammatically correct since the context of the book is all about choice of WORDS, etc.I certainly give you the benefit of the doubt, though. The content truly is great and really helpful. Just something to consider revising if you haven't already. :)Cheers!

This is a must read for anyone that needs to develop a marketing strategy for this business while keeping it simple. I like Donald miller books. He gives you great information while giving you practical steps to follow after reading the material

Good, clear framework with plenty of examples
The Marketing Made Simple framework gives small businesses a good place to start to develop a digital marketing system. It's full of specific recommendations and templates. These include: email scripts, meeting agendas, elevator pitches and more.Don and JJ are clearly effective communicators. They use simple, direct language. They are entertaining to follow. I found Don through his daily business video tips. A year of which is easily worth 1000x the price of this book. And available for free.The website framework they have is the best I've seen. I've read plenty about sales/nurture email scripts. But I have yet to come across as detailed a guide for what to include on your website home page. It's not theoretical, it works.There are a few opportunities for improvement.First, there were quite a few typos. Example: "The purpose of the fourth meeting is to decided what language..." I counted at least three.Second, the scope is limited to "email/website marketing". This would have been okay if it were made clear. But, the title of the book is not "Email Marketing Made Simple". It would have been nice to see how the framework extends to channel partnerships, advertising, print/mail and more. Our customer's email inboxes are only getting busier. "Email marketing" is providing diminishing returns.Finally, it was difficult to locate the templates to download. But maybe that's just me!Aside from these minor nuisances, Don and JJ have put together a fantastic asset for small businesses. I have a clear map for an email marketing system. They've stated what works in a novel way. And we've redesigned our website with many of their recommendations.

You can't get more practical than this.
If you want a proven, practical, step-by-step plan for your marketing, buy this book and do what it says. Period. A lot of marketing books out there are mostly theory and abstract ideas. This one is straightforward, plain as day, and as actionable as it gets. You can start doing the steps in it now. Like, NOW. Couldn't recommend it more!

Good basic ideas for beginners
Donald Miller writes a very easy to read and easy to follow guide on the steps to get started with your marketing. He also does a good job explaining the psychology of a viewer when they visit your site.

A Must Read for Beginners and Small Business owners
I was looking for something with very practical steps, this book is just amazing to help you come up with your marketing copy for your website. This is very step by step guide and with practical exercises which you can do with yourself or your team. An amazing must read.
