Unbeatable Reliability! The YoLink LoRa Smart Door & Window Sensor is a Game-Changer!
I've been slowly building out my smart home, and when it came to securing my doors and windows, I wanted something truly reliable. After trying a few other brands, I decided to give the YoLink LoRa Smart Door & Window Sensor a try, and I am absolutely blown away by its performance! This sensor has quickly become the cornerstone of my home security and automation. The installation was incredibly simple. It took me less than a minute per sensor to attach them to my doors and windows using the included adhesive. Pairing them with my YoLink Hub was equally effortless, and they were recognized instantly. No complicated wiring, no fussy setup – just quick and easy integration. What truly sets this sensor apart is its use of LoRa (Long Range) technology. This is not just marketing hype; it genuinely makes a massive difference in range and reliability. I have sensors on detached sheds and gates at the very edge of my property, and they connect flawlessly to my hub inside the house, something other smart home devices struggled with. I get instant notifications on my phone every time a door or window is opened or closed, without any dropped signals or false alarms. This consistent, dependable performance provides immense peace of mind. The battery life is also exceptional, thanks to LoRa's low power consumption. I haven't had to think about changing batteries since I installed them, which is a huge convenience compared to other sensors that drain batteries quickly.I've integrated these sensors into various automation routines, from turning on lights when a door opens to triggering security alerts, and they perform flawlessly every single time. The YoLink app is intuitive and provides clear status updates for all my sensors. In summary, if you're looking for a smart door and window sensor that you can truly depend on, with incredible range, rock-solid reliability, and effortless installation, look no further than the YoLink LoRa Smart Door & Window Sensor. It's a premium product that delivers on every promise and is an essential addition to any smart home. Highly, highly recommend!

It works well for metal mailbox opening detection
I got this for my mailbox opening detection. I tried some indoor contact sensors but they do not have long range and I tried ring mailbox sensor (RMS). But I found out the RMS does not work well when I placed it in the back of the inside of the mailbox. I found out RMS is human heat based instead of detection of any object movement. With Yolink, I placed it inside a metal mail box and it works every time. Initially, the only problem I have is the sensor falling. I placed the sensor on a stationary side of the mailbox and the magnet on the back of the opening door. Maybe the door with the magnet hit the sensor. So I put some strong two sided tape on the sensor and placed it a bit further from the magnet (but need to be within 0.4 inch gap as specified). And I put one side of velcro tape to the small contact between two metal plates of the mail box so when the door is closed, the door will not slam each other and create vibration to dislodge the contact sensor. If it falls again, I will replace the two sided tape with velcro tape so I can remove it easily for battery change in the future. So far it works really well without falling. It works with Amazon Alexia well and it will pronounce "You've got mail". That is pretty cool. The software is pretty encompassing. It looked like yolink spent a lot of time on the software. After you get used to it, it is pretty powerful. I put another one as refrigerator door opening sensor. Each sensor can have its own alerting scheme if you wish. Both notify on my iPhone (you can select if the notification can appear in locked screen (critical alert) or just a banner on top of the phone or on apple watch. And it also alerts on Alexia, if you wish, "The refrigerator door is opened". And if it stay opened for a specified time, you can have the notification again repeatedly on the iPhone. It is pretty useful since the range from the sensor to the hub is very long so it works consistently. I like this purchase - easy installation, works well within metal, long range for consistency, comprehensive software, work with Alexia. I wish it works with Apple HomeKit but it seems like not for now.

Works very well
This is a quality product. I purchased it because I have a detached garage with a house type door as well. With the app ,installation was easy. As for the usable functions, they are a little bit confusing, but figured it out with trial and error. It's connected through my internet and I have a couple settings to where it notifies if the garage door opens when I'm away and also during my sleeping hours. The other sensors are for my homes doors. The second the door opens, it's triggered, no delay. The 3M adhesion pads are great, make sure areas are clean. It's capable of doing much more through the app, but I just use it for my notifications for my doors when asleep.
