Everything I was looking for
I'm glad I gave this book a chance since it had everything I was looking for:1) Hand position2) Notes in relation to keyboard3) Lyrics4) Simple SongsSome unexpected things which I also enjoyed were bits of terminology sprinkled throughout, beat/pacing, and bright/cheerful graphics that make me smile when I open it... just to name a few!

Awesome Book
I love this Piano learning book. It's easy to follow. The color coding for each note is awesome, makes very easy for a child to learn and remember. Got it for my 10 year old son, he started playing piano in few days following this book. This book is good for small child or adults, makes it very easy to start playing piano in no time. They have different Music books. We got classical music.

Could be better
Songs are well executed but songs are not familiar ones for children to recognize what they are playing

Excellent beginner book!
We purchased a piano about a year ago and this has been a great book for my kids to begin on. They are 12 and 13 years old. I highly recommend this book!!

Solid music theory, genius system, and fun for kids!
I got these for my 5 year old. I ended up getting sticker dots instead of using the included labels since I would have had to tape them on. My kid picked up a lot of the songs quickly and has been working through the exercises. It’s honestly an ingenious way of introducing music using colors and much more intuitive for kids! It had her up and running with quite a few different tunes quickly, which I feel has been really good for her confidence and has kept her interest. I’ve been so impressed with the book that I bought the other two.If you’re looking for a good place to introduce music for kids (especially younger kids that might be too young for formal lessons) you cat go wrong with these! The exercises are a good balance between too easy and too hard. They can be challenging, but because the music practice is so natural, it’s easy for kids to tie the concepts and the music together.Excellent book construction wise. I’d expect it to handle the manhandling of a preschooler well.

Intuitive method to start piano
Very intuitive method for beginners. My 7 year old son prefers to sing along as he works through the children’s and Christmas editions, but I like playing from the classical version- It’s fun for the parents to learn too!! These books are great because you can play by ear the familiar songs, and diagram shows you where to hold your hands and what fingers play which keys for each song.

The best I've tried
We tried a couple other piano books for beginners.. this is the best by far.I wish the note labels were stickers. That's my only critique
