These pens will be used to write papers by students in high school and middle school. The words crafted by each stroke of the pen is only possible because of the quality flow of ink. Each line, jot, and tittle will tell of tales from stories written, poems assigned to disenchanted teens, and notes swapped of swooning and love. Thank you for these great pens, which 99% of will be lost in a backpack, bus seat, or thrown out as they sit on a lunch tray by the end of the week.

Please understand, this review is NOT about the PaperMate Profile pens. I love them, which is why I ordered a box of 36 pens so I could have plenty of spares on hand. I enjoy the act of writing and the feel of a pen smoothly laying down ink on paper, especially when the ink does not run or smear. For many years, the Bic Roller Ball was my stylus of choice, but when I need to take a quick note, the convenience of a clickable ballpoint pen that does not require two hands to remove the cap is hard to beat.So you can imagine - even see in the attached photo - my disappointment when, instead of the advertised box of 36 pens that I ordered, I received three plastic bags of six packs with two pens per pack. I wanted the one box, which would fit in my desk drawer and keep the pens organized in a small space, and do so efficiently. Instead, I received the same number of pens in a grossly excessive amount of wasteful packaging that would require an entirely new drawer drawer be added to my desk to store them. This wastes my time, as I have to open each pack individually and then find some other way to contain them; it increases shipping costs, as a larger shipping envelope was needed to contain all of the unnecessary plastic and paper for each two-pack; and it demonstrates a callous attitude towards the environment by the seller. All of this wasted packaging, plush the plastic bags used to contain them will all make their way to the landfill.And no, I haven't sent them back, as that would waste more if my time and money. Each trip to the UPS store burns more gas and is time I don't have to take my pup for a walk, read a book, or use one of my favorite pens to capture a thought on the back of a junk-mail envelope, which I repurpose as scratch paper before recycling. As a steward of the finite resources we all share on our only planet, I hope this review will encourage PaperMate and Amazon to hold their partners to a higher standard when it comes to how they advertise and deliver their products.
