The first package of 2 small white cable locks sent by Amazon would not unlock at 0000 or any other combinations of numbers. So I wrote to the email address, info@urbanaugust.com, on the cardboard at the top of the soft bag package. To my pleasant surprise, the owner of the small family business selling the locks through Amazon responded to me almost immediately. After giving him some information, including coding numbers on a sticker attached to the package, he determined that the package I received from Amazon was not new. The locks had been returned to Amazon by a prior buyer who had opened but restapled closed the package to look new and unopened. The locks inside were stuck closed, having been changed to an unknown combination other than 0000.I told the seller I was leaving on a trip in just a few days and needed the locks to secure a medicine cabinet for safety because the person housesitting while I was gone has young children. He arranged to have a second package with new locks shipped to me by expedited means at no cost to me. The locks arrived less than 2 days after I contacted him.I am totally pleased with the locks. The soft white cover material blends with and protects my cabinets. The cable is thicker than most other locks this size. The instructions to change the combination from 0000 are easy to follow. The locks work great with my custom combination. The cables secure my medicine cabinets perfectly.This sell represents the highest level of honesty and integrity and deserves being used by anyone needing the well-designed cable and other locks he sells.

This is easy to use and resolved the problem we were having with pre-teen raids!I just wish it could be re-coded. My adult son left it off the frig, the night raider got the code & it took a few nights to figure out how the food was disappearing.Long story short, had to buy another to have a new code.

This lock is wonderful. I purchased for my liquor cabinet. It's easy to use and the lock is very durable. It comes with a key instead of a combination which I love even better. It fits great around the door handles which makes it easy to install and remove. I would recommend purchasing.

I thought this item was pretty good and it lasted almost 2 years before it started having issues, but I'm not happy it started acting up. We did not seek a replacement from the seller because there were some things about it my elderly mother with arthritic hands didn't care for, so I just started looking for a new one. The design on this one was a little hard for Mom to manage. She was always putting it on upside down and then misreading the numbers, and the numbers weren't easy for her to rotate with her fingers. They would sort of catch and they are small. It tended to pop open on its own before you mixed the numbers, which just adds to the dexterity issues. The new one we got is by the same maker but is a different design and we like it better (Fridge Max Cable Lock). I'm a little wary now that it will last because of our experience with this one, but we'll see.

Works great and my son can't get anything out of the fridge when it's on. Easy to use

Breaks too easily

Bought this lock a year ago and it is still working great. I just bought a second one to attach the fridge cable to the freezer. The kids hate this thing. Keeps my toddlers and teenagers alike from eating us out of house and home. Highly recommend as a solution. Can confirm grocery budget has been reduced. I can now keep an ice cream in the freezer without children devouring it behind my back. Now there is plenty of lunch meat, cheese sticks to go around.
