Mountain House New York Style Cheesecake Bites

My wife and I have a sweet tooth, even when we were camping. I was tired of packing chocolate that melted or froze so I decided to give this a try. My wife and I shared the bag and we're both very impressed with the flavor of this freeze dried cheesecake. We were lucky enough to find fresh blueberries while we were hiking, so we added them to the bag and smashed it all up a little bit which made it taste exactly like blueberry cheesecake. Make no mistake it is not as good as the cheesecake factory, but for freeze dried cheesecake on the trail it was really good

This was a nice treat for the price. We took a 2 week wilderness camping and canoeing trip and I brought 2 packs of these cheesecake bites. My nephew couldn't get enough of them! It was nice to have a treat that didn't take any preparation, and also that tasted really good and is light weight! They're not too sweet, and do taste like real cheesecake, and I like the graham cracker crust. The ingredients list is actually real food and not a bunch of sugar and chemicals, which is something I like too!

The flavor is yummy, much like what you'd expect...extra dried cheesecake crust and astronaut ice cream together. The biggest problem is that there are more crumbs than anything else. And the overrall quantity is minuscule.This is fun for a novelty if you enjoy tasting different survival (and Space) foods. But for the price, it's really NOT worth it as you can easily find extremely similar non-perishable snack food right in the supermarket. And as a prepper treat, there's so little in the packet that it's not worth much on that end.

Thoroughly enjoy most products from this company, but this particular item is terrible. Tasted more like chalky cardboard than anything else. The Neapolitan ice cream bars are way better, even if they do arrive mostly broken.

Delicious! Great to have on hand as a tasty snack. Really tastes like cheesecake. We keep these snacks and the Mountain House meals at our vacation cabin. They keep well and taste really good. Perfect for when we have no power or can't get out to go grocery shopping.

I was disappointed. I love freeze dried ice cream, which tastes a lot like ice cream, and expected something similar. These cheesecake bites have no cheesecake flavor at all. they just taste like graham crackers. Doesn't make them bad. Just... insanely expensive graham crackers.

About half the content of the bag was crumbs. I can't say anything about taste other than that it had none for me. It might work well as a topping for regular ice cream.

I randomly ordered these because I'm fascinated by freeze dried food. They shipped rather quickly. The taste is really good, both my boyfriend and I really enjoyed it. They taste just like cheesecake except with a creamier flavor which we both enjoyed. The texture is a bit weird and crunchy so that might scare some people off and first but they quickly melt in your mouth. They're a really cool and fun treat. I will definitely be ordering from time to time in the future for the occasional snack.

Saving this for a trail treat, hence the 3stars. They seem as though they might be all crushed. I'm sure will taste great in the mountains.
