A**!
I am 100% NOT regretting this purchase - even after I had a minor hiccup that needed seller's help to fix. STILL worth it!
I bought this because it looked promising, and the iRulu total piece of you-know-what that I bought less than 6 months ago was riddled with lags, freezes, and shut-downs (that randomly happened for no reason other than it was out to get me!), until finally it just died altogether at the beginning of this week. I bought that thing for almost $70 just this June or July, brand new, and it is THE WORST!!After the last couple months trying to use that junk tablet and endless frustration and headaches, and no help from the manufacturer, all I wanted was an Android device with that didn't make me want to scream several times a day!I took a chance to buy this Chuwi Hi8 tablet - I'm low-budget and this was on the higher end of what I had wanted to spend, but Amazon credited me back the full $66.00 even tho the 30-days window was well closed - so I could afford to pay $30 more over that credit and get this one. I am so glad I did! When I turned it on and started setting it up, I was honestly shocked at just how much faster it was than what I was used to/numb to - every keystroke and click was immediately followed by the action! Seems like a no-brainer, but my old device was not anywhere near this fast!I love the choice to switch back & forth between Windows and Android too, I hadn't heard of that before and it's really handy to have 2-in-1 really. Now, I did have a bit of trouble that I will tell you about, mainly so you know I'm not getting paid or getting mine free for my review - this is all genuine - and because I hope if someone else has this problem they can see how to fix it super easily. My one critique, so far, which has a happy ending:I read several reviews from buyers who found that they did NOT have Google Play Store app on their Android side, which is a real problem. The reviews mainly were followed by updates saying the seller fixed and responded quickly, so I risked it hoping I'd be one of the large majority of buyers whose tablets came with the Play Store app already installed like it's supposed to be.Well, of course, I got one that had no Play Store app! It's 10 pm on a Friday night and I'm thinking there's no chance I'll hear back from the seller about it until after the weekend ends, which was really disappointing! But, that's not the case at all!Within the hour, the seller replied, (around 11 pm on a Friday night!) and gave me the easiest solution I could ever have thought of!Since the other comments, reviews, and questions for this product never included HOW to add the app or HOW the seller helped them fix it, I am going to paste in exactly what the seller said, which got immediate and excellent results for me:"search for "Chuwi Hi8 - no Google Play Store in Android" on google there is a youtube video"So simple! The video has no sound, just the tablet and a hand, pushing each button or link as they install the app on their own tablet. I just copied what he did, and in under 5 min, I was off to the races!Got all my games downloaded and started playing!Wanted to come back to add the solution for anyone out there who searches for this later if they get one with the missing app.Hope this helps someone!Otherwise, I still am extremely happy with this item so far, and the missing Play Store app does not rise to the point of taking my 5-star rating down at all - because it was fixed so fast & easily. Plus, last Friday, I was still trying to muddle through my games without them quitting or freezing one me, and only succeeding half the time! (Don't buy an iRulu, they suck!!) I wanted to throw that tablet against the wall, it was so maddening! So coming from that low of a low, I probably can be easily impressed. But this device is really cool, and I do think it's faster than other "fast" or "normal" devices. I highly recommend!

Terrible Touchscreen - I wish I could get my money back
Let me start of by saying that I usually don't write reviews; however, I felt inclined to write a review about this product to help those on the fence about this product. Allow me to give you a quick summary on whether or not you should purchase this product:You should buy this tablet if:You're going to use it as an E-reader; you're going to use it to play some mild games; you're going to use it to watch YouTube videos/read e-mails/watch Netflix. You shouldn't buy this tablet if:You want it as a tool for school tasks; you want it as a tool for work tasks; you want to use it to draw anything; you want to play touch heavy games. Now let's get specific. First of all, right out of the box I initially loved the tablet. I was mainly going to use it as an e-reader and occasionally to do other tasks that I've mentioned in my "You should buy this tablet if" section. I then got the idea to maybe use it to take notes, as a drawing tool, and as assistant to help me teach concepts to other AKA as a mini whiteboard tool. That's when I encountered the problem, the TOUCHSCREEN IS TERRIBLE. When I was using it as an e-reader, I noticed some of the pages wouldn't flip in response to my finger swipes. I attributed this to the applications I was using, then I tried to use it with a couple of different white board apps. The touchscreen has a considerable level of lag. I thought maybe it was my finger, so I attempted to use a stylus and it's even worst! I tried a few calibration/sensitivity apps to assist me with the problem, but not a single one was able to make it more responsive. The device just doesn't live up to the expectation of a touchscreen tablet because of how poor the touchscreen tablet. As other reviewers have pointed out, it has terrible cameras in both directions, and this is true. The speakers are OK, not amazing, but they get the job done. Also, the charger has a really bad tendency of not charging upon immediate insertion, you kinda have to fiddle around with it to find the perfect angle, and I've even experienced times where it stops charging because it's not in the right angle.I really have to hand it to the tablet for being a Windows AND Android tablet. That's really amazing! But it doesn't detract from the AWFUL touchscreen on a touchscreen tablet. Just save a little bit more money, and go with something more name brand! I wasn't provided with the tablet for a discount/free/or compensated for my review so I can't just say "well, it's not terrible so get over it." Do not purchase this tablet, until the touchscreen gets fixed there exists no justification (in my mind) to buy this item. I wish I had caught the problems earlier on after my purchase so that I could get my money back. Please, don't fall victim to the same issues I have.Have a great day everyone, and I wish you good shopping. :)
