Professional Quality for Home Doodle Grooming
Doodle owners are no doubt finding their wonderful pets are very high maintenance, as we quicky discovered. The thick and tightly curled coat of our golden doddle seems to matt instantly, despite our best efforts to comb it daily. Grooming fees every six-eight weeks started to chip away at our budget. I don't begrudge the grooming fees, because it's a lot of work, but since we are retired, I need to stretch the money for other things. This isn't for everyone to tackle, but we decided to try clipping our doodle ourselves. This clipper performed flawlessy with the first use. It's solidly made, quiet, and easy to use as a cordless. There was plenty of charge to finish the trim. It will quickly pay for itself, albeit we have to be willing to put in the effort.

Light, long lasting, cordless, impressive
Love this thing, tho if you’re also looking for a training plan for how to get your dog used to at home grooming, read on.Purchased for my Australian shepherded after reading great things about this specific clipper. I’m training my pup to be comfortable with being groomed, so I leave this out in the living room, or wherever I am spending most of my time, and began by turning it on occasionally. I’d do this while she eats her dinner or kong treats, Icecream treats, playing tug of war with my husband - whenever she’s in a great mood basically, just to get her used to the noise, which is mostly the same level as an electric tooth brush. My plan was to gradually desensitize her to the sound, then proximity (bringing it closer to her), pretending to cut her hair while it’s off, and just simply being gradual and consistent with small steps. It was taking a while, but she wasn’t in dire need of a hair cut, so I just stayed consistent. My husband though was of the mind to just hog tie her and sheer her like a sheep. A trauma I adamantly wanted to avoid. When she was letting me take her paws and pretend to trim her toes, with only a little bit of nervousness, I decided it was time. I pulled out the secret weapon, yogurt slathered to a suction cup thing mounted to the sliding glass door, and while she was busy with that, she let me just trim all of her, toes and tummy included. She let me take so much fur I could stuff a small pillow.Wouldn’t have been able to do this so easily if it were tied down with a cord. I love the digital battery display, which stayed over half full the entire time on the first charge. The guards slide on and off with ease, and the lever to change blade’s closeness is an added extra control that I appreciate.Awesome buy at about 40% off for the pinky purple color. I first was looking at the cheaper stuff, 40-60$ range, but this is really an investment item which I intend to save hundreds throughout the life of my pup by avoiding dog-salons. I have no doubts this thing will last a while, seems better made than my husbands hair trimmers....Just takes some patience with training - that may also apply to an impatient husband who isn’t seeing the progress fast enough. Persist. :)

Ideal for trimming short haired dogs (whiskers, etc) for the show ring!
After having a heavy duty corded Andis large animal trimmer for over a decade (that was well loved!), we finally had to replace it after it finally crapped out. With new young show dogs that did NOT want their faces shaved (Pointer and a Dane), we started searching for a very quiet, low vibration trimmer that was cordless (read: NOT tied to a wall for power when they are struggling to escape! LOL). Finally after research and indecisiveness, I selected this trimmer to try. So glad I did! It keeps power for a LONG time, and is strong enough to cut through tree-trunk thick Dane whiskers with ease. The quietness and low vibration finally is working to our advantage, and they aren't struggling with every face trim, now. So pleased! Easy to hold, and nice and light as well. Now, if Wahl would just make a low vibration, low temp dremel for giant nails... LOL

Excellent clipper, worth the money, I have two happy dogs, that love their haircuts :)
First, we have two Shitzsu pups, both rescues. Younger one always never liked grooming, and groomer had complained that he was fighting her.I decided that I want to cut his hair.I've been doing this to older one for years, using cheap clipper.I wanted good clipper to make it easy on me and Mookie.I read many reviews of many different clippers. It was hard to decide. There are so many of them, and so many different opinions.I chose Bravura due to reports of it running cool, quiet, and being cordless. So First I tried it on Teddy.Oh my!! What a difference. This thing is very sharp, cuts super easy. It runs almost completely cool. It is not silent, but it buzzes a little bit. Not bad at all. Quieter than some corded ones.It is very light, and so easy to use without fighting the cord.SO it took half the time or less to cut Teddy's hair. I used one of provided combs. Bravura had no problem at all, even when going trough some matted hair (our pups get mats around arm pits, and chest). After maybe 45 min, maybe little more battery was still at 2 bars.I started other dog, Mookie. Again, I was very happy with performance, and what's best, he did not mind!! I guess he was more comfortable with me than groomer :)After all, it took about two full charges to cut two dogs hair (13 and 18 lbs Shihtzsu/Shihpoo) And really, clipper did not stop, I just decided to stop when battery was almost discharged. To sum this up.Goods:1. Powerful2. Sharp - very easy to cut, and cuts very well3. Runs cool4. Quiet, not silent, but not annoying.5. Comes with different lengths combs (plastic)6. Light7. Will run when when connected to provided power supply8. I like battery level indicatorBads:Really, nothing. Kinda expensive, but after using it only once, IT WAS VERY MUCH WORTH IT!!!Things to remember:Clean the blades often, and oil them. (Small bottle of oil provided, but can buy bigger one for $4-5 where hair clippers are sold)
