Better than traxxas, perfect for scale crawlers
this servo has metal gears and ball bearings and this particular unit has the best amount of torque in its class. this is very well suited for rock crawler guys who like to take their rig out in the water. this can also be used for your 1/10 rc cars of your choice. not to buyers that esc is not included.

It works as advertised
Placed on a Traxxas Slash 4x4 with good results. A great solution for anyone needing a waterproof servo for steering a Traxxas Slash 4x4 though it is a little slower then the OEM servo.

Quality product, but nonstandard size and voltage complicates installation
Works as advertised. It's very waterproof, pretty high torque, and digital. I used it in a piece of outdoor sensing equipment to rotate a lightweight (a few oz.) sensor and controlled it from an Arduino. It's fast, precise, and has no issue with the load. There are downsides, though:- Unlike standard Hitec servos, the minimum voltage is 6V (for power; signal is still 5V). This is good for torque, I suppose, but it means adding another power supply to your project.- Unlike standard Hitec servos, each dimension is just a couple millimeters larger. This makes it incompatible with many excellent stock servo mounts from companies like Lynxmotion. With some minor modification, I did get it to fit into the Lynxmotion Base Rotate Kit--but none of their metal brackets.- Out of the box, the sweep is about -45° to +45° (mapped to 1050-1950 microsec pulse signal, mind you; Arduino users will have to employ servo.writeMicroseconds(), as servo.write() assumes a more common 1000-2000 microsec range mapped to a -90° to +90° sweep). If you have a digital servo programmer, you can remap the signal to -90° to +90°.

o ya worth it. I run in water every week, this servo has taken some abuse and has held up perfectly

Not very durable
Its waterproof and that's about the only positive I can give this servo. I have this in my Wraith and I've blow it out 2x, stripping two different metal gears. The last time I stripped a gear, I bumped a slide at about 1/2 throttle and killed the servo. Its a relatively easy repair but still a pain. Even my Traxxxas plastic gear servo lasted longer.
