I think the new car smell is OK. It is not my favorite BUT the leather scent is my absolute favorite. It smells more like a new car than the actual new car scent. They both work well making the car smell better. I just spray it on the carpet after vacuuming, just be sure to test that it doesn't mess up the carpet color. The bottles came wrapped up tight in plastic so they didn't leak, however you need to keep it stored in an upright position while not in use because it will leak if it tips.

I rally do love this. My friends keep telling me my car smells new and like leather. I have become sort of immune to the smell. So I would say it works well. I do remember when I first started using it I loved the smell. Now I can just smell it when freshly spray it. But the smell does last several weeks apparently, I’ve just become used to it.

I would probably mimic what others have said on this product. First, let me say that I am very meticulous with my vehicles. I always keep them extremely clean inside and out. I really don’t have a need for an air freshener. I use a leather cleaner and conditioning product and a lot of people will get in my ~4 year old vehicle and wonder how it still “smells new”. I don’t think it smells new, but what they are smelling is that conditioner. Anyway, I love the smell of a new car. If I found a product, even an air freshener product (which I otherwise don’t use) that would give me that, I’d be all over it. I will say this and get it out of the way right now… if you are in the same position as me, this product DOES NOT give your car a new car smell as it advertises. The smell is clean… somewhat reminiscent of a new plastic smell. New car smell is much more than new plastic, however. I mean, the smell isn’t bad. It’s just not new car. I like it. It’s growing on me. I just bought a new to me used vehicle. It didn’t smell bad inside, but I’ve been using this product religiously to try and get the “new car smell”. I am spraying it directly onto the carpets and floor mats as well as putting the AC on max and spraying under the dash to let it take it up into the vents. I find that you do need to refresh daily or every other day to keep the smell prominent. It doesn’t last as long as I’d expect. It also takes quite a number of sprays. I bought a 16oz bottle to try and it’s lasted me about 2 weeks. I did like it enough that I just bought the 20oz bottle and will continue to use the product and see how it does. Whether I continue it after that’s or not remains to be seen. So all in all, I like the product. The scent is good. It is not a new car scent. If that’s what you’re hoping for, you may be disappointed.

Great stuff. Chemical guys products are the best on the market. The signature scent is sooo good and the new car smell makes my truck smell like the day it came from the dealer. You get a lot for the money and the scent lasts for a long time. Great stuff you won’t be unhappy with this product!

Let it settle and don't react as soon as you spray it. Once it dries and settles on your carpet (pref under the seat or on mats), it does resemble a new car or leather like smell. It's strong so a little goes a long way. After a season of wet car mats and that wet towel smell in my $100k Mercedes, this did the trick. Not sure how healthy it is to be smelling this stuff but it really works! Great product.

I work at a dealership and sometimes cars come with their previous owners smells. This works like an absolute CHARM! Sprayed the floor boards/under mats and it made the truck smell like NEW! No “cover up” smell like from Febreeze. 10 stars if I could.

The cherry sent was bold, Unfortunately the cherry sent I was after was what auto detailers used like 25 yrs ago. It came in a gallon size concentrate, which you would use 1or2 capfuls per quart size water spray bottle. After cleaning and vacuuming the interior of the car a couple of spray mists with the sent would leave a long lasting clean fresh cherry sent. This sent was different.

I tried the Chemical Guys New Car Smell Air Freshener, and it really captures that fresh car scent without being too artificial. It’s easy to use just spray on the floor mats or under the seats, and it spreads well. It neutralizes odors nicely, making the car feel cleaner. However, the scent fades after a couple of days, so you’ll need to reapply more often. Overall, it’s a good option if you don’t mind using it frequently.
