Not what you think
This is not an "Inventory Management" book on steroids that offers some new and improved methods a manager can just start implementing. Rather, this is like a really long consultant's brochure.Unless I am missing something, the methods in this book (especially starting in C.3 with RightSKU, RightCast, RightTimes, etc.) would require a full-blown, company-wide initiative tantamount to a Lean or Six Sigma launch. There is definitely some good information in this book, which is why I am giving it 3 stars. But as far as the book's immediate practical use, I would give 1 or 2 stars.

Conceptual, practical and experience based
I have had the pleasure to work with Dr Frazelle on several inventory optimisation projects in Australia. This book is Dr Frazelle; Strategic yet pragmetic, theoretical yet understandable, analytical yet based on real life examples. All of this underlined with love for the subject and love for the people interested in using the concepts and ideas. This book is my inventory management manual, it gives the underpinning theory and concepts, yet it gives the nuances on how to apply. The book is also filled with colourful graphs and examples.I give Dr Frazelle and his 'Inventory Strategy' book a big thumb up. I use it as a consultant, I use it as a lecturer and I use it as a gift to people interested in Supply Chain Logistics.Inventory Strategy by Dr Frazelle is a MUST HAVE and a MUST HAVE READ!Regards,Henry
