I love this trigger! you can do so much stuff with it !! the only con is that doesn't have a motion sensor, but it can be trigger with a laser with is really cool!

Easy to use and great results. Worked like a charm with the Sony A7RII.

For true high-speed photography this device is useless. The attached graph shows an input pulse in blue and a series of response times in red. I set the delay at 0ms, 5ms, and 10ms. The median response time is not bad, but the spread is around 1.5ms. That might not sound like a lot, but imagine trying to photograph a speeding bullet. You set your camera so the bullet will be perfectly centered if the trigger goes off at the median response time of 1.5ms. In one trial the trigger hits at 0.8ms, and the next at 2.3ms. At 300m/s, the bullet will be 23cm out of frame in either direction. Now that's a lot!Support took a week to respond and confirmed this is the expected behavior.If you do not need high-speed precision, this device is awesome. The UI is good and it is just so convenient to have everything in a neat little package rather than building your own circuits. The cables are interchangeable, so you can use the same device with any brand as long as you have an adapter for the camera's trigger port.

Can't wait to try for lightning

I ordered this product to photograph a meteor shower. If you've ever photographed a meteor shower you know it's all a game of luck and unfortunately the bright ones were always out of frame.. but was also not sensitive enough to capture faint meteors so I won't fault the device for that. It did take time-lapse photos flawlessly though! The system was extremely easy to use and I loved that I could control it wirelessly from my phone. I was also extremely excited to utilize it this summer to photograph lightning. It has some of the highest reviews in the light sensor category among storm photographers. The device is VERY light, you couldn't even notice that it was on the camera! Another huge plus for me.My only issue was in the attachment of the device. It is meant to slide onto the top portion of your camera (where an external flash would attach). I very quickly learned that it does not latch into place and slides off easily. I own a Canon T7i and this device was specifically mentioned to fit this model. I knew that eventually it would slide off and damage the product. Just removing it from my tripod (I lean my camera forward to do this) caused it slide off, only staying attached by the cord. This was the main reason I returned it. I may have simply received a defective device but, unless I try another which does stay in place, I plan to purchase another brand.

my battery died for no reason i contacted customer servers asking what to do and no answer what so ever , i explained that i love the product and that the battery died during a update and never got it working again, im sure there is a easy fix but i don't see a light now when im charging which makes me believe the battery is dead. its been a week that i have send a e mail to miops customer service and got nothing back very disappointing!maybe i should have contacted customer service at amazon first but i imagined skip the middle men will be faster guess not!

Haven't even used this yet, but still giving a two star. Out of the box will not connect to my phone through Bluetooth. Keeps telling me the MIOPS is rejecting the connection. Not what you want to see before you even start using a product. I have an LG G6 phone with the latest version of Android so there should be no issue connecting Bluetooth. May update this review if the Bluetooth issue is fixed.

This product worked great for a very very short period of time. This product gets glowing reviews on YouTube. I call in to question the integrity of those reviewers. I doubt they paid for their products. This thing is extremely poorly made.
