Complete beehive starter set, includes 2 deep supers that are glued and screwed, then primed and painted with a mildew resistant exterior latex paint. A medium super, screwed, glued and also primed and painted. The deeps have 10 wood frames each for raising brood and the medium has nine frames for honey collection. IPK screened bottom board also serves as a Small Hive Beetle trap. Needs no poison to eliminate the beetles; just a litttle cooking oil in the tray under the screen. The R-5 insulated top has a layer of Styrafoam sandwiched between two layers of wood with an aluminum cap to top it all off. Keeps the bees warmer in winter, and cooler in the summer! Also, set includes a frame holder for keeping the frames clean during inspection, and an entrance reducer.
