I believe the correct description is SG-31R Replacement for IR Panel for the Built-In Flash on the D 200, D70 S, & D-70 Nikon Digital Cameras. Amazon describes it a SG 31 R ( Replacement ). It is priced by Amazon for $ 12 - 15 . I have a D 70 S/70 Nikon Book produced by "Magic lantern Guides". I suggest that the Customer purchases the Book. ( should be able to acquire a Used version ). I use an External Speedlight ( even in daylight ) to correct for shadows ). If more info is needed, please advise.

Q: would this be a good camera for IR conversion

I have never had one converted but from what I have heard and read the D70s is a good candidate for IR. I no longer have my to D70s as I am shooting a D7000. Guess I should have kept my D70 s body for IR.

Q: why is the d70s like 2 thousand it was made in 2005. i could find the body for 50 dollars on any other store.

The D70 has a small screen. If it had a bigger screen to view the photos they would be selling for $200. New under $1000 this was a great camera. I still use mine because of the command mode for remote flashes.

Q: I donot have a charger for battery yet can you tell me how I can get power in my camera please

You will need to order a new charger....there's really no way around it....once your battery dies it has to be recharged in a charger designed for Nikon D70S...I just had the same problem....I have two batteries that died and I cannot find my charger...I just ordered a 2nd one (They are not expensive if you order online...less than $10).....GOOD LUCK
