ClipPro Clippers Are the Best I Have Found
I am a typical male, so I'll tell you straight off that I don't know much about manicures, clippers, etc. I did have a pair of the drug store variety that actually did TEAR my toenail, which was the last straw. I had previously thought that all the people who had written about tearing a toenail were being a bit dramatic, but it turned out that it does happen.Anyway, I ordered three different brands of toenail clippers in the normal concave shape and the straight cut shape. They were all around the same price range as the ClipPro.The ClipPro is the best of the ones I bought. One of the other brands (I won't say which one it was here), had a lever that was much too flexible. If I had really hard nails, I'm not sure that one would have been able to actually cut the nail. The jaws were sharp, but the lever flexed to the point of touching the back end of the clipper. The ClipPro has good, sharp jaws, and the lever is good and stiff. It is solid and easy to hold and use. It delivers a good, clean, straight cut. I don't know what else to say about such as simple tool; but it was worth the extra money over buying the drugstore clippers.Peace to all who promote peace in their daily lives

FINALLY! A tool that can actually get the job done!
OK, here is the deal, I have had a real issue trimming toenails. Clippers found in drug stores and dept stores haven't been able to do the job. My nails are just too thick, too hard and too oddly shaped for regular clippers. I've also wasted money on "scissors" supposedly designed for the job. I also bought the type that look like wire cutters from the drugstore which were nearly impossible for me to use on my gnarly nails and would barely cut what I could get at, which was more wasted money. I was desperate and decided to search on Amazon and was encouraged when I found these, which claim to be for thick nails AND had a straight blade which I also "wished for" in a toenail clipper. I had to try, so I ordered them and they arrived right away. I have to admit, when they arrived they actually looked and felt like they might actually do the trick and I immediately had to try them. Man alive, these clippers actually cut tough nails with little effort! These clippers are big enough and strong enough to command respect. It might sound strange, but I'm actually thrilled and tickled silly to find a tool to do a job I've been unable to do until now. Many, many Thanks!

Best Ever
It takes some torque to use these, but holy cow, they do a great job. Even if your muscles aren’t working properly and you can’t bend over very well, these clippers will do an awesome job on the thickest, most disgusting toenails. I had bought a pair that looked a bit like a small pair of pliers, and was using those, but it took a lot of work to get those to trim properly, and I had to do it over and over again. My husband, my kids, and I all have really thick toenails, and my husband has toenail fungus as well, and these go through anything and do a great job. I wish I had tried these first. Over the past several years I have bought a lot of clippers. Most of them worked for a time, and then became less effective, but these little rascals are in it for the long haul. They are sturdy and have some heft to them. The next thing you notice is that the cutting edge is very wide, and could probably slice through a Ritz cracker, although why you would want to do that, I don’t know! The point is that these will take on the thickest, toughest most disgusting nails. For fingernails, I need to get a smaller one. These are hard for my small hands to handle, but they are no problem for toes, probably because it’s a totally different angle, and because these are toenail clippers... It’s hard to imagine loving a pair of clippers, but I am quite fond of these. Sturdy, well constructed and they do their job. This is the beginning of a long friendship.

Seems to be good.
Haven't used this clipper much yet but when I tried it on a fingernail it worked great. Can't do 5 stars having just receiving it yesterday.

Excellent clippers-sharp, easy to use (don't have to squeeze too hard).

EXCELLENT & REALLY WORKS ON THICK TOE NAILS.. WELL MADE.. AND PRETTY TOO.
These actually work great!! I mean well. I got stepped on by a big girl with spiky red pumps in the lunch line back in high school. She put all her weight on my big toe. I lost my toe nail and it never was the same since I was 19 and many sports later. I have broke a few pair of clippers over the years. The other day I was trying to cut my thick big toe nail and I could NOT fit my clipper on it. So I thought... I am going to check Amazon. Sick of doing this for 20 yrs. Fighting with my toe. Went to Amazon, read the reviews and ordered this in 6 minutes and I think got it the next day. Opened it.. and my 10 yr old watched me and could not believe it worked. It worked great. Fit around my toe nail. Cut it perfectly. It is strong, and really nice to look at too, pretty design. You can tell it is strong and well made and professional looking. I did not care how it looked but was kind of surprised it was pretty too.

So far these clippers seem to be good. Sharp too.

Wish Bassett was still around
I bought these straight edge clippers hoping that the bold, sturdy look would also translate into quality. These fell short in that department. They're ok, but have a tendency to slip off your finger while pressing down ( and not as sharp as I had hoped). Guess I could put some sort of grip on it. But at this price, I think it should already be on there. My old Bassett (made in USA) clippers are STILL sharp and precise. Too bad they were acquired by another company, and you know how quality suffers when that happens.
