Multiple versions of Eric's first solo album
The ultimate version of Eric Clapton's first solo album. This includes mixes of the album not released in the UK. Why no live album recorded to promote the album.
7**!
Very good album
Eric's solo debut is a very good album, a solid 4/5 album with a nice array of songs, and his first album where he moved away from the guitar God image and focussed more on the voice as well as arrangements, (thankfully though he reverted back to guitar God for 'Layla...'). The 4/5 also encompasses this box. It's seems a bit silly having 3 versions of the same album. Are there differences? Of course. But it's the SAME album. I wish they could have thrown on some live stuff to further boost this sets attractivity. Obviously, there could be a valid reason for this omission, namely there are no concerts in the vaults from this time. The bonus disc is good, although a fair chunk of the extras had already been issued on a previous deluxe version. I'm a collector, (and a sucker), so I bought this. Hopefully if there are more reissues coming from Eric, they include live stuff. Anyway, as for the mixes, I like the EC mix version of his debut. To my ears, that's the best mix.

Another duff deluxe - avoid
Not really anything musically new here and certainly nothing worth the £40 asking price. A trumpeted 40 page book contains several poor non- related photographs and exactly 5 pages of a write up from 2006. Could even be bothered to update it. A total rip off avoid
