Time for School, Mouse! (If You Give...)

I love these books for my grandchildren. I buy them all the time

We have the book if you give a mouse a cookie, so we thought we would try this one. We love it just as much. Cute story and pictures.

The Mouse book series is great for toddlers in my opinion. This is another great book in the Mouse book series. I also got this particular one to help give the oldest toddler an idea of what preschool will be like. He seems to enjoy reading this book even more now. I'd well written, easy to follow along with the story, and well made. I'd highly recommend this book.

My daughter loves the mouse books, so I bought her this one before her first day of Pre-K. The drawings are adorable and she enjoyed it, but I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because it let me down a little. The whole time mouse is looking for his homework. For a preschool student, this wasn't very relatable. I ended up having to talk to my daughter about how homework worked instead of enjoying a nice story.

My 2 1/2 year old twins love If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and always request it before bedtime so we decided to order some more of the Mouse books. Personally I love the board books because my kids tend to be rough with books and the board books seem to be able to withstand the toddler years thus far. Time for School, Mouse! is a nice, simple book. It has one to two sentences on each page and asks where are Mouse's backpack, notebooks, pencils, etc. I really like how it makes it easy for kids to point out these objects so they learn what they are from a young age. There isn't a whole lot to the story but I think it's perfect for young children. My kids are happy so that makes me happy!
