I got these bottles for fermenting my own ginger beer at home. The bottles arrived all in one piece, no chips or cracks in the glass, which is always a fear of mine when buying glass online.The swing lock mechanism has very little slop in it so it is easy to use and doesn't feel weak of flimsy. The seal is great, no problems with leaks at all. They even provide extra rubber grommets if any get damaged or worn out. They looks great and have worked well for me so far and definitely have a durable feel to them.As for cleaning, the mouth is narrower than the body, you know, like a bottle. So they aren't the easiest to clean but that's at no fault of the product. Using the right tools or methods make cleaning a breeze, just don't expect to be able to get your hand in there.If I start making bigger batches or more things, I will definitely be getting more of these specific bottles.

I remove the caps and put the bottles in the dishwasher which makes them SUPER easy to clean! I use these to make kombucha on a weekly basis and they have been very durable. They are the perfect size for ferment brewing! I haven't had to replace the rubber parts yet, even though I've been using them for over a year and they sent replacements with the bottles

This a good value item. Everything was intact and as pictured, caps fit bottles perfectly and easy to close and open. I will definitely buy these again from this seller.

I’m not new to fermentation, however I am new to making homemade probiotic sodas. I wanted to try these out because it was said to be these were carbonation grade bottles. I’ve so far made these 5 bottles using a ginger bug for natural carbonation. Over the course of a few days I’ve noticed a couple things here and there. SOME of the bottles have a good clasping lock, feels tight at the seam. The others feel very weak, I can hear some of the gas escaping so it doesn’t hold it in. The bottles look nice and are a decent price but they may not function properly it’s the luck of the draw. I’m thinking of getting some pliers and bending the lock to tighten it more otherwise they may not hold carbonation

I might be bias but I think this product is best with my mead in it. It's my first batch and I liked it! Nicely sized, holds a lot of mead. And the seal works great. Hopefully I'll have use for more of these soon!

Update:I contacted customer service through Amazon again, and they arranged for a return and replacement. Ya, Amazon! They just arrived, and in upacking them, I noticed that the bottles were again cloudy with a weird film on them. They were the exact same bottles as the last ones, and they too, do not seal properly. I also noticed that one has a hairline crack along the top of the bottle near where the metal arm attaches to the bottle. Hugely disappointing. I decided to do a little research, since my first set of bottles from this same product page (I got for a Christmas present off of my wish list in 2023) are awesome and I've had no problems with them. Here is what I noticed: the bottles are completely different bottles than I received for Christmas 2023. I have included several pictures so you can see both the cloudy weirdness, a picture so you can see the difference between the two bottles, and a picture of the crack by the metal at the top . The bottles I got over a year ago have a completely different shape, are thinner, and all sealed perfectly day one and have sealed unfailingly since I got them. They have obviously changed the bottles, and not for the better. I will be returning these, again. The bottle on the left is the original Christmas present bottle, the bottle on the right is one I received today.Arrived on time in good condition. They looked a little dingy when I pulled them out of the packaging , but washed up fine. I put an entire batch of kombucha in them for second ferment, and initially it seemed that only one of the bottles wouldn’t seal. I tried one of the new gaskets, still too loose. Tried to contact the manufacturer’s customer service- link didn’t work. Contacted Amazon and got a $10 credit. Was reasonably happy with the solution as I’d already used them, a return wasn’t happening. Now I’m finding out the majority 4/6 of the bottles are not dealing properly, so my second ferment is flat and lifeless. Gonna reach out to customer service again. Very disappointed.

These bottles are fantastic! I use them to store simple syrup and grenadine for making cocktails. Another purpose I use them for is storing smaller portions of oil and other such liquids when I purchase them in bulk. They are very secure, don't leak, sturdy quality; and I like that they are clear. I use a label maker to add some color to them and remind me what is inside. Very good deal!
