High price but very good sound
Very good, a little high priced but better than the oem speakers that came with my cardo scala freecom. I can actually hear parts of songs that I couldn't hear with my previous ear buds, there is good separation and clear sound. I didn't give it 5 stars because they are high priced and I can't say how well they will hold up. I installed these into a schuberth c3 helmet. I think for some people who say these aren't loud enough you need to do a few things. First of all if your helmet is loud and lets lots of wind in nothing will fix that and you should look at a new helmet first.Secondly you should be wearing ear plugs. I know this might not sound right but ear plugs will cut out some of the high frequency wind noise and make it easier to hear the speakers. I bought a set of etymonic HD plugs and with them in I can hear my music clearly at speeds up to around 70 mph. Without them the music is hard to hear above 40mph.SO, if you bought these and were disappointed you should first try ear plugs and see if that makes the difference. Also, these are much wider but also thinner than the iAsus speakers. I first bought the iASUS because of the cheaper price but they were so thick they pressed uncomfortably against my ears. I'm sure they work fine for some helmets but they did not fit at all in my schuberth. These tork speakers fit perfectly.

Mediocre and not worth the price....
Cheap parts, cheap cables, already broke one of the wires going to one speaker and mediocre audio. My cell phones are designed to cut headphone output if they detect nothing is plugged in and these speakers don't seem to have good connectors to keep solid connection, the output is constantly cut out, this never happens with normal ear buds. So sad to me that a $20 set of earbuds is better than these but alas illegal in my state to ride with earbuds....but not speakers. Don't plan to ever but Tork speakers again after this with how much these have annoyed me, only reason it got 2 stars is some sound is better than none in my helmet.Meh speakers, definitely not $80 worth, for $30-40 I would have been happier with this purchase.

So much better than earbuds
I really like these speakers. I use these in my racing helmet to communicate with the pit crew while on the track. Before buying them, I was using earbuds under my balaclava. They were a PITA, as half the time they would come out of an ear when pulling my helmet over my head, and I'd have to take my helmet back off to readjust. Also, racing endurance, the earbuds would start to get uncomfortable after the first hour, let alone after 3. I have none of those issues with these speakers, since they stay in the helmet and don't touch your ears. Also, since they are not in your ear like earbuds, you can hear more of what's going on around you. They are much clearer to hear voices than when I was using earbuds. Loudness is good, though not quite as loud as earbuds, so your volume will have to be set a little higher than with earbuds. The thin design is great. They fit in the ear holes of my helmet and don't touch my ears, so I don't even know they're there.I give it 4 stars only due to price. I love the quality, but they are expensive.

Awesome when used with a Chatterbox X1 Slim
I purchased these speakers to use with my Chatterbox X1 Slim due to the speakers that came with the chatterbox being the worst speakers ever. They distort sound, crackle, and have no bass. I received the Tork X-Pro speakers on Tuesday and tried them with my phone and the sound was great. I used the volume control cable and the sound was a little bit louder at full volume, but not much. When I received my chatterbox 3.5mm adapter on Thursday, I quickly installed these in my motorcycle helmet and oh boy, what a difference from the crappy ones. The chatterbox puts out more power than my phone, so the volume was a lot louder, but no one will be listening to music at full volume while riding down the highway, even if the wind is bothersome. When I turn on my chatterbox, I have the volume at 3 or 4 and it's loud enough to enjoy the music, but not too loud where I can't hear my surroundings. In the end, the sound is great, the size is perfect to fit almost any helmet (I wear a small Z1R Jackal helmet and they fit perfect), the cabling seems to be good and would last a while, especially since it'll be tucked inside the helmet. I would definitely recommend these speakers if you plan on using them with a communicator or even your phone or ipod.

Volume not as described.
Wish I could give them negative 5 stars. They are basically old style over the ear headphones with no headset bracket. I could only hear them if I held them to my ears like they were actual old school headphones. Installed in the helmet, I'd compare them to someone whispering 10 feet away (also wearing a helmet themselves). Tried the little amplifier some folks suggested, still too quiet. Amplifier is rad though. Really clears up the sound from phone to ear buds. Went to remove them from the helmet to return and the wires literally fell out of the phone jack. Poor quality. Don't buy an inferior product.

Option for ski or snowboard helmets!
So compared to the smith optic drop in by skullcandy. Which totally suck! These Tork X Pro are absolutely awesome! Great bass, good mids, highs don't blow your ears out of their sockets. Volume control is way better. Could be improved a little by a margin call or so. So 4 stars. Super happy. Mounted them in my Smith Variant helmet! I would gather to estimate that these will fit in most any ski or boarding helmet.Skullcandy has a lot to learn about drop ins for helmets...

Highly recommended!
Feeling that the price of these was on the high side, and being disappointed with the "X2" model (the drivers were wired out of phase and sounded generally poor), I ultimately decided to try a set of these. Am I glad I did! These really are pseudo-audiophile quality helmet speakers. They sound better than some (actually most sub $200) highly regarded headphones/ear-buds I've used in the past. I'm using them directly off a Sena SMH10R Bluetooth unit and I can achieve plenty of high-volume, undistorted sound. If one of your intents is to listen to music while riding, you have to give these a try. They fit perfectly fine in my Shoei RF-1100 helmet once removing the Velcro earpads from inside the helmet.

Fitted my snowboard helmet, excellent sound
I was struggling to find thin speakers to fit my K2 snowboard helmet (Giro/Skullcandy were too big in diameter and too thick). I found these and they looked like they would do the job. They slid in nicely in the helmet speaker pockets. The cables tuck away nicely. The sound is excellent (and I like decent sounding audio). The sound is full across the spectrum, without an overbearing heavy bass. With Amazon Prime trial, they delivered the next day on a Sunday too :-)

Volume far too low!
Way over rated for volume. Can hardly hear them before starting the bike. Where is the amplifier located? Wasted a lot of money on these
