Works decently well. The company makes all of the tools and files necessary to install the screen very easy to acquire, and the installation was super easy. After that, however, things get less that ideal. The screen is small which make operation difficult, but this to to be expected, however, not all of the windows resize correctly. The two that come to mind are the command line and both config screens. The command line defaults to roughly 3x the size of the screen and must be resized in order to see the entire screen. The configuration GUI accessed from the drop down bar also defaults to be larger than the display, however, the config window can not be resized. This means that you can not save the settings made. The config window accessed though the command line is also too large, and cuts off the bottom portion of the window.All in all, it just makes using the 3.5" screen annoying as I use the config window and command line often.Also, the Pi camera can not output video though the GPIO pins, which is why I bought a 3.5" screen. While this is not the fault of this screen in particular, it is worth mentioning here as I did not know that when I bought the screen. You can get a work around by using fbcp, but it is tricky and results in frame rate loss.

no reply from elegoo support. so i tried everything the manufacturer suggests and all i got was a white screen. when i use their image with drivers pre loaded, it hang up during boot every time. i tried all the suggestions in these reviews, i tried the not updating trick, i tried installing drivers myself. still white screen. i am by no means a raspi/linux expert but ive done numerous Pi projects with no issues. im not sure if the screen is faulty or what. total waste of my timeEDIT: elegoo contacted me after leaving the bad review and informed me a new screen was on the way. it arrived and the driver disc was totally different the the first one i got. i included a link to an old img file and it worked on the first try. they even sent along a free jumper set for my troubles. the first screen was def fried on arrival but im happy with the new screen. as long as you arent trying to play games its great

Well I can say the unit is super.My first unit powered up and showed a display but the touch screen was backwards up was right - Left was down. Anyway - contacted company and within 24 hours they sent new drivers - just to be certain. There was no change - but contact them again and within 24 hours they responded that they were shipping a new unit (no return required). New unit showed up in 3 days (on a holiday) - and worked perfectly.I plan to get another for my next project.Thanks Elegoo

Elegoo 3.5 Inch Touch Screen Monitor came nicely packed without any damage.In order to use this 3.5 Inch Touch Screen LCD monitor, we need to install the custom raspbin-jessie image where you download the custom image from the link that mentioned in the Instruction manual which is included in the CD that came along with the package. After copying the image file to the Sd Card plugged the LCD screen to my Raspberry Pi version 2 and connected to the power and for 10-12 second it displayed a white screen displayed the GUID desktop. And using the stylus we can easily interact with the GUI. And this LCD monitor is having 320 X 480 resolution.Package includes----------------1 X 3.5 inch LCD for Raspberry Pi1 X White colored Plastic Stylus1 X CD which contains instructions for to use Touch screen monitor for Raspberry PI 1/2/3 and few software that required for installation

The product may be fine, but the instructions are very badly written, with too many English language errors to communicate the required procedures. They are incomplete to boot. I couldn't get this screen to work with my RPi running Jessie. Similar screens running the XPT2046 chip are available, and it looks like I'll have to browse their websites to get a product manual that makes sense. Don't buy this until the sellers produce a better manual.

I'm stuck with a persistent white screen. The cd didn't have the right software, I can't get drivers that work anywhere online, and Elegoo apparently wants everyone to re-image their boot install rather than just supplying correct drivers. Which means the screen doesn't work when the software is updated. I'm beyond frustrated. Look elsewhere for a screen that has more support than this one.

Reasonable quality. No problems yet, it's been about 2 weeks since I got it in and no issues yet. One thing I did notice, it does NOT support rotation. There's no way to rotate the screen in Linux that this screen supports (not that I've found in 2 days of googling and experimenting anyway), so if you're making a phone-type system then you might be disappointed. I'm making a handheld computer, so it would be nice to be able to rotate the screen. The resolution is nice, colors are nice, takes a little more pressure than I'd like in order to get it to detect touch but that's overlookable. Overall, I would buy again. I'd just prefer that they pointed out the lack of support for screen rotation in the description.

Couldn't get more than about 10 fps out of the thing.Edit:Company contacted me about the fps of the screen not being on the original description and apologized. Gave me a full refund. Great company! Good screen for prototyping and other projects. Unfortunately I needed a more multi-media display. Otherwise was easy to get working following the instructions they provide.Will definatly look for more Elegoo products in the future.

Waste product do not purchase . it shame Amazon for providing this type of useless products for costomers at least provide correct information and photos of that exact product
