Always One of My Top Ten Coffee 🍵 Favorites
A fantastic coffee 🍵 I used to be able to find Tanzanian easier, but it has gotten harder to find. I appreciate having a new source and super happy to support Fair Trade Practices. Beautiful art on packaging and shipped in sturdy box.

Seven month old beans?
I have ordered many different coffee beans from Amazon over the years and these beans were the most expensive so my expectations were high. The first thing I noticed is that the beans which were ordered and received in February 2019 were roasted in July 2018. Why would anyone want seven month old beans, no matter how they were packaged - and these weren't in any special package. The coffee itself was only average at best and couldn't compare the coffee I had just prior to this, the Wild Jo. Very disappointed...

Old beans!
The beans were roasted over a year ago per package labeling. I checked because there was no coffee aroma at all when I ground them. Disappointing.

Excellent coffee with an excellent mission
I think I have purchased every type of coffee and tea that Level Ground Trading produces... and oh, their dried fruit, spices, cane sugar, rice... oh my, oh my!!! The quality is exceptional. The coffee is fresh and makes a coffee drinker out of even the most skeptical. The decaf always has my mother yelling at me when I serve her at 8 p.m. at night as she's convinced it's not decaf (yes, it's that good!).... Now, couple with that Level Ground Trading's commitment to fair trade practices for farming partners around the world... and well, in my humble estimation, you won't get a better cup of coffee anywhere. They truly do (as their tag line says) shake the hands of those who grow their products... and they stand by them and treat the farmers as they would want to be treated themselves. Fair Trade is basically putting the golden rule into business. Level Ground Trading coffee has been the only coffee in our house for the last 10 years!

I enjoy this coffee
I enjoy this coffee. It's best in a French Press though a pour-over would probably also be great. Smooth cup with a strong finish with notes of dark chocolate and berries.
