No more or less noise introduced into my aircraft intercom/radio system than a standard automotive one from what I could tell.

Will not fit into a standard cigarette lighter hole
It is larger than a standard cigarette lighter so the hole had to be enlarged.Would be even better if it had a 3 amp output for rapid charging g on my Samsung pbone
