Could be a better design
The mounting for this flasher leaves a lot to be desired. It would seem that the light is meant to hang on a wall or something. If you want to mount it securely on any other surface you need to fabricate spacers for it. Also why they didn’t make the mounting hidden is a bummer. Looking at the bracket is downright ugly.

This is a very well made unit. Easy to install and worked right out of the box, once it was fed the needed batteries.
