The Dog Encyclopedia for Kids

Can't wait for my granddaughter's birthday so that I can give it to her. She loves dogs and is going to love this book!

I found this book at the vet while waiting for lab results. I loved reading it because of the concise information and pictures of the different breeds. My grandson had a scary event when he was in preschool and i thought this might help him learn to discern which dogs were friendly and safe.When i asked him about it he said he liked it very much because it showed so many different kinds of dogs. That made me happy and his curiosity was heightened.

My daughter is obsessed with dogs and until we find a home where we can have one, this will have to do. She takes this book around with her to school and in the car and reads us various facts about all the different dogs. She has certainly become an expert. It's easy for her to read and full of fun and interesting facts!

The book is beautiful and has the right amount of information. I love that there is real photos of each dog mentioned.

My son loves dogs. This is his favorite birthday gift.

This is a combined version of a series of smaller books.I was hoping that with the all-in-one volume that there would be a breed index at the back of the book - there's not.The book is divided up into AKC breed categories.The pictures are great, though not all breeds listed have photos.There are descriptions and fun facts for most breeds.Great as a look-through type book for kids and adults.Needs better referencing (index + pictures of all breeds) in order to be a true encyclopedia even if it is just intended for kids.

This book is perfect for my toddler. He loves learning all of the dog names and as he gets older will probably love learning about the breeds. It’s fun for me too! He has spent hours “reading” this book.

This book was bought as a gift for my grandson. It has very colorful pictures of all breeds of dogs and is pretty informative for children from about age 7 or 8 through the teens. I think even adults would find it interesting. My grandson who just turned 9 loved it & said it was his favorite book ever!
