Pretty & Functional
Perfect for a stroll through a neighborhood fruit/veggies street market or even a lovely picnic in the park. These NT pannier baskets are an excellent combination of great looks and functionality. The size is quite generous! They’re sturdy and surprisingly deep enough for a family size bag of Lays Potato Chips and a gallon of water or a couple of bottles of wine. I carry a family size beach blanket, book and umbrella in one of the baskets and all items fit perfectly. The handle makes them portable and lays flat on the rim of the basket when not in use. There are also 2 hooks covered in a thickly coated plastic located on the back. These simply sit on the back of the bike’s cargo rack. They slide a little when riding, but nothing out of the ordinary since I don’t ride that fast (LOL). Since they’re super easy to put on the bike I’d be quite concerned about leaving them unattended especially in a heavily trafficked city park so I wish there was a way to secure them to the bike should you opt not to carry. The only other downside is that they are not water proof so you would have to remove these if you leave your bike uncovered. The upside however, is how these baskets transform any bike into something extra special. I always receive a ton of compliments about them. Love!

Exactly what I wanted!
These pannier baskets were the exact aesthetic I was going for (I made the basket liners). They're also useful for grocery shopping, I just pull the baskets off the rack and take them into the store to use as my grocery bags, and they hold quite a bit. They slide onto and off my rear rack relatively easily and hold firm when I'm riding. Pricey, but so far very worth it!

Happy
I do not know how the basket will wear, but it’s beautiful, functional, and I’m excited to go shopping with it.

Love it. It does have the nice Nantucket plaque ...
Love it. It does have the nice Nantucket plaque on the front like on manufacturer's website. It's a beautiful basket and really the cherry on top of your bike. There is one thing I'll agree with a previous review...the lid...if it happens to be pushed in too much, it can get a bit stuck (think of a lid on a canned food item, when you use can opener and accidentally push it instead of pulling it up, its hard to pull back up/open and you need to use a fork to pull the lid). It's not extremely hard to pull back up, but not something to do while riding the bike and you'll need something to help like a key or a hook of some sort. Also...the front belt/strap... on mine also fell out and got lost the other day. If you don't keep the strap "buckled" ...It is not secured/sewed on or glued on of any sort to the basket so it can easily slip off. This is not a basket you should intend to reach into while riding. And I could see that just by looking at the picture before I ordered it. I wanted a secure lid so I can put my valuables inside without fear of falling and them falling out too. If you want a basket to reach easily into while riding, buy an open basket.

It looks beautiful.
I love the look of the basket. It’s beautiful. I have a mountain bike and I personally think it makes it look a more feminine and dresses my bike up.I love the color, how it’s made, the shape and the way it looks on my bicycle. I really like the straps that hold it on, and the look of the strap in the front that holds the lid down. I don’t like opening the strap on the lid. It’s like a belt and it will keep it closed. I kind of wish the lid strap was a decoration and that a snap was used to keep it closed. The strap adds to the look but it’s a little cumbersome if you’re in a hurry. I would rather have it than not. I just need to be less lazy.I’m not sure how much the basket would hold but I am confident that it could carry a 6 pack of soda or maybe a little more.Overall I would buy it again.

Useful and sturdy
I bought two of these panniers (I'm saying in the French way in my head because I'm really fancy) in hopes that I would one day be able to fill it up with adorable puppies while I bike ride. However, that dream has not come to fruition, but the baskets have been sturdy enough and large enough to hold items on many grocery trips or journeys across the city. I've loaded them down with a questionable amount of weight and they've held their own. They're not waterproof, but they dry quickly and won't degrade when wet. They're extremely durable, easy to use, and probably will get stolen if you leave them on your bike. You could probably zip tie them to the rack. I do wish there were hooks so I could attach a bungee to make sure things wouldn't fall out though. Here are some ideas of things you can put in the panniers:1. Fruits. Lots of fruits. Apples, oranges, pears, bananas, kiwis. No watermelons! No scurvy on your watch!2. Paper and books. Show everyone how smart you are! Choose titles that will let people know you're serious, like the History and Diagnosis of Microphantobacteriology rather than 50 Shades of Grey. Look how impressed you are already! Microphantobacteriology isn't even a real word! (Wear thick glasses while riding for EXTRA SMART POINTS)3. Puppies!4. Kittens!5. Kale! Organic locally sourced kale! Yummmmm KALE!6. At least four bottles of wine.7. Nothing. If someone asks you why you are riding with baskets with nothing inside, look at them seriously and say with a straight face - "Because. I. Do. What. I. Want."8. Another basket. SO META!9. French bread, a picnic blanket, cheese, and wine because you will look so adorbs doing it10. A packet of toilet paper. Ain't no shame.11. More puppies!!!!!!12. Corn! Everyone loves corn. If you see someone you like, hand them an ear of roast corn. Yum!
