Love Brain Quest!!
We love all of the products that Brain quest comes out with. They make learning fun, yet relevant to what the kids should know according to their age. My son stays engaged and sees it like a game.

Great for summer
My kids absolutely love these brainquest summer books and ask for them every summer! Lots of great activities, the map with stickers in the back motivates them and it also has a good book list and extra activities in the back with are a great addition.

HONEST REVIEW
This really is an excellent book. I just finished writing the review for 4&5th grade summer brain quest, check it out!As I said in my other review if your student doesn't have the support, instruction, correction or practice of sitting and doing coursework, no material will "make them want" to do it.This book however is extremely fun and as with my 4th grader my recently graduated kinder loves these activities. *his personality prefers little to no sitting at all! The pages are colorful and organized so you child won't get off track. They have bonus questions, a progress map with stickers your student places after completing the assignment. Easy page removal if wanted. The pages are on legal paper so they are a bit longer than standard printer paper.*just an idea, choose a fun reward for completing the book at the end of summer and hang the treasure map in there room or let them play with it outside when they complete it! When my kids complete the book I'm taking them to a frozen yogurt and they get to choose any toppings they want and a yogurt of any size. (My kids don't eat treats or junk food normally so this works for us as a reward).Have fun with these books and your student. ♡

Kid actually wants to do them
The way this workbook is organized (a sticker chart for completion) makes it so appealing my 7th grader asked if they made one for his age. The beginning is simple but not too easy, and the activities don't take a super long time so my kiddo feels accomplished without 15 minutes of struggle. Some of the activities are hard to do correctly (counting a bunch of different items that are randomly scattered across a 2 page spread in different sizes without losing your spot is too difficult for a 5 or 6 year old to do - doesn't evaluate his counting accurately) and some require some background knowledge that a kid this young may not know (what items go with what profession - lifeguard versus paramedic versus police officer my kid got items mixed up. Who gets the walkie talkie? Who gets the first aid kit?) But generally they are good and even the ones that are "too hard" are a great opportunity for me to talk through and teach the missing skills. Just not 100% independent work. Also has a section for outside activities which I love. Encourages outside play. Will order again despite small flaws.

Best summer review book!
These Brain Quest books are the absolute best thing to help prevent summer slide! They even get the child started on next year's learning, which can only be an advantage. My nephew was slightly behind at the end of Kindergarten, and I already feel like he has caught up to his peers, and we're only 3 weeks into summer. My hope is that we can give him just a little bit of a head start before heading into 1st grade, and I think this is the book to do that for him. I have seen other "summer bridge" learning books, but this one has an awesome motivational system. There is a map in the back, that looks almost like a board game, and every page the child finishes, they get a sticker to move along the path on their map. There are even pages that give 2 stickers, and bonus activities that give bonus stickers. Then the child earns a certificate at the end of the summer, which at least this kid is very motivated by. Hoping this is the answer to our problems!

Great Kinder/1st Grade workbook
I bought this for my daughter who has always done a summer program. This year we moved so she would be home all summer and I needed something to help keep her brain busy. The quest idea with the map and stickers is so cool. It makes the activities even more exciting because as you complete tasks you get to mark it off on the quest map and get stickers. She has really been enjoying it and it’s perfect for the Summer before 1st grade!
