Alba Botanica: Natural Even Advanced Sea Algae Enzyme Scrub, 4 oz (3 pack)

I received the wrong items. I expected three of the green bottle on the right (my old empty one) but received 3 of the team bottle on the left. I opened one and used it assuming it was the same product in a “new and improved” package as the bottle says, but it does not feel or smell the same and I do not like the applicator tip that is now on the bottle. Please help if possible.

I'll get to review the actual product I received in a few paragraphs.When I purchased this, I did not bother to look at either the picture or the text. The headline/item title was enough, I thought: Alba Botanica: Natural Even Advanced Sea Algae Enzyme Scrub, 4 oz (3 pack). I have ordered it before; just used the "order again" function.When it arrived, it was a different product and different packaging. "Sea Algae" is nowhere in sight (although to be honest I haven't found it in the tiny type on both products' back label). This is called "Even and Bright" and it's got "alpine complex." The TUBE is completely different in shape, which is probably the weirdest artifact of this new presentation. It's got weird scrubby fingers on the cap; you have to twist the top so the scrub will emerge. And to close it, you have to twist hard, until it clicks, or the scrub leaks through the little hole. With wet hands this is hard to do. If you store it upright, upside down in its plastic cap, you will have to deal with this every time. I now just lay mine on the shower ledge. Very poor package design, my opinion. Also: weird scrubby fingers: what the hell?And oh, by the way, on the listing, over on the right: NO RETURNS. Nope, didn't bother to check for that, either.Today when I took screen shots I saw that the seller has put a line, OLD PACKAGING, at the very top of the tube-back picture. Don't know if it was there when I bought. Why are those pictures there at all? this is not the product now being sold.AND THE SELLER DID NOT CHANGE THE TITLE OF THE AD. It still says Sea Algae; says nothing about "Even and Bright." The UPC on both products, old and new, is identical.I waited to write this until I had tried this new product and the product itself is 5 stars. It is a gentle scrub, smooth with just grainy enough for me. And I found the new scent quite pleasant ... almost a little like cedar, or sandalwood. But the packaging is poorly conceivedOverall rating: Product, 5 stars. Packaging, 1 star. Thus the 3-star rating.Seller: sloppy, careless, misleading, 1 star.Alba Botanica: I have always loved their products, cruelty free and very high quality. But the parent company, Hain Celestial, did this reformulate/redesign with Queen Helene Mint Julep scrub a few years back. They are also brightening their packaging color palette; it's more "cartoon bright" now instead of what I always thought was pretty classy muted colors. But I don't ding them for the colors. Marketing!In conclusion, yes, finally: I like the product but I'm having reservations about Alba Botanica, and I will never ever again "buy again" without reading the whole ad. Twice.ADDENDUM: I went to the AB website and shot off a very annoyed email. They sent coupons to my home address (and they're going to get a letter about that). Honestly, I'm ready to move on until the next product I depend on and love gets tweaked for whatever reason. I have a list.

Back when I paid very little attention to my skin (other than use makeup remover & cleanser at night), I found this product helpful. It helped slosh off dead skin. Once Covid happened, and I started taking a deeper look at my skincare routine, my relationship with this scrub changed. [New routine: cleanser, then moisturizer with SPF in the morning; cleanser, toner, low dose retinol (helps the skin regenerate faster) and hyaluronic acid (super moisturizing) at night]. Now I find this scrub too abrasive for my much-improved skin. Whenever I use it now, I notice micro-scratches all over my face. You can see them in video chats -- not a good look. I am cutting this out of my routine going forward, except for the occasional back scrub.

I have ordered this item before and what I have received today is not the same as the last time I ordered. It does not feel like the same product to me. It has a nasty scent now and is very creamy. I find it disgusting. Time to find something else.

This product has changed but I still like it. The scrubber/applicator is useless. I just squeeze the product into my hand as I've always done. Also, tubes are not recyclable here, so I'll look for a product in a bottle.

The fine grain leaves your skin feeling refreshed and smooth without irritation or over-abrasion. It smells lovely as well.

I love the actual product but hate the new packaging. The opening gets clogged and it’s difficult to clean. Very odd move.

Smells like the beach, I love it!
