How long it can stay recording over battery?

Hello. The life of the battery is influenced by many factors and also varies depending on your settings, usage and working environment. The batteries last about two months in standby mode. With normal use, one full charge, the batteries last for about 1-4 weeks, depending on the working environment and the frequency of connection. With continuous triggering and one full charge, the batteries last about 15 hours in day mode or 9 hours in night mode with the IR lights switched on. The battery-power camera cannot support continuous recording, because that will drain the battery quickly. The battery-powered camera is a kind of motion detected camera, which means it will only record when there is a motion detected.

How long is the cable from solar panel to camera

Hello. The cable length of the Reolink solar panel is 4 meters. If that's not long enough for you, you might want to consider purchasing our solar panel extension cable (4.5 meters / 15 feet). You can add up to 2 solar panel extension cables to the solar panel so that the total distance can reach up to 13 meters (43 feet).

Does it work and record without wifi ? And for how long the camera record without power source?

Wonderful

I have a number of security camera brands (TP-Link, Ring, Reolink), but this one tops them all, in picture quality and motion detection. I love the colour Night Vision, which is a clear as the picture during the day. I installed the camera without the solar panel first, as I had to order an extension cable. Without the panel the battery wasn't that great, but now with the solar panel installed, it's 100% battery at all times and I will not need to recharge the cameras I have. I can highly recommend this and other Reolink cameras.

Good versatile Camera

Overall this camera was good other than the night vision wasn’t brilliant but whether this was just the machine I bought, am not sure. I recommend it for daytime use, but not sure for night time. I had to return it to the seller.

Good but battery runs out quickly

It's been ok but it misses a few important activities and if I increase the sensitivity it will notify me that flying insects are vehicles. Also, the battery runs out quickly even though it's connected to solar power and the sun is moslty there during the day. The wifi connection is terrible although it's not far from the wifi and the playback is very slow. very disappointed. I was going to get a second one but I changed my mind.

Missing the 1 critical option “pre-motion recording”

Amazing camera all around. Except like all Reolink battery powered. They all missing the pre-motion recoding option. As a result, you miss the detected object from the whole scene.
