2006 R1 Rectifier/Regulator. 4 months in review.
I bought this item twice, the first time i had to custom carve the grey connector to fit my connector because of how tight it was and how little room it had. It lasted me 4 months, that's riding it on and off for a total of 200 miles. Died on me randomly this morning and had to re-order same day shipping for another.Second order fit perfectly, no custom carving this time, and i'm now waiting to see how long it will last. Out of all the regulator rectifiers i had reordered and returned, this is the only regulator rectifier that showed any sign of lasting past the first start up. I haven't tried any dealership sold ones because they are sold for 120 - 150 minimum for my bike, but if you fork up that amount, i'm 100% sure it would last longer than the one bought here. All in summary, It's okay for a quick a fix but will eventually ending up costing as much as one sold at a dealership. 30 dollars forked out of pocket every 4 months is a little much on the long end, but definitely affordable on the short end. You choose your option of which is more of a sensible spending curve.EDIT: 04/18/2024Lasted me 2 days and the diodes failed. Tested my stator and it's showing perfectly fine AC Volts for the readings. Unfortunately going to have to return. Brand new battery and Perfectly fine Stator. Regulator seems to be hit or miss atm...

again
bought to replace oem r/r for vfr800 first day was perfect 120mile ride. two days later fuse blew. right away i knew due to the power needed bike does sound and accelerates differently. wasn't even one mile from my house. replace fuse drove maybe 3 miles and the worse had came. the r/r lost voltage and got almost to nine.three volts-nine.six volts. r/r was still connected so i added my backup battery drove it home. as this might be just a glitch to one of many, tomorrow ill be furthering the diagnoses to be sure r/r is inoperable. i cant say whether i will buy again. im checking out the return policy, as i will like to return.

did not last long at all
works great on my Honda Shadow. Original regulator couldn't handle a couple extra lights, but this one holds a steady 14.3 volts from idle to redline with all the lights and accessories turned on.UPDATE: this only lasted 2 weeks before it quit working and got hot enough to melt the plastic fairings a couple inches away
