Server was having issues during the initially set up, but it's been working great since then for the most part! Have had two of these for 3 years now, and they are pretty reliable for the most part. I use it mostly to control the AC from the phone app when I'm out of the house, the app is a little buggy but gets the job done. Overall, pretty satisfied! Every now and then it will drop the WiFi connection inadvertently, but it usually resolves itself and reconnects itself eventually.

DO NOT spend your own money on this. My electric utility provided two of these for free as part of a demand response incentive program.When it works, it monitors real time power usage, allows for scheduling, and allows you can turn the a/c on and off using their smartphone app.Setting up the modlet and the remote is painful. Their app and / or website will lock up for no apparent reason. The modlet remote will sometimes unpair from the modlet, and won't reconnect without a factory reset.I am an engineer, and I have been tinkering with things all my life. It is safe to say I am adept at all things tech related. And even I have difficulty getting this thing to work. I have wasted hours getting this product to work properly.Edit: My advice for using these is to set the modlet temperature setpoint to a very low setting, and rely on the window a/c unit's internal thermostat to turn its compressor on and off while leaving the fan running. Then you would use the app or the modlet remote to turn the a/c unit on and off. If you were to rely on the modlet's thermostat for temperature control, it would turn the a/c unit and fan on and off throughout the day and night, which would be very annoying, in my opinion.

The product works great. Without it my AC turns on and off seemingly randomly. With the modlet it works just the way it should, plus I can control it from my phone and see how much energy I'm using. (It's more than I thought...)

The product is useless. It arrives with a product key that does not work for activation. The company who makes them informed me that since it was sold by a third party, amazon, that they would have to provide all support. I couldn't understand anyone in the amazon call center, draw your own conclusion as to why. All they could do was process for an exchange.This product is completely useless. Do NOT buy it!

Easy setup, if you follow directions.Shows room and set temperatures.Remote is nice to control when they is no remote for an old unit.Nice to remote in and check temperature in a vacation home when away.

Don't buy this. Sucks. Returned the next day.

Easy web set up. Bonus points for being the only outlet level monitor I can find with a web interface that allows you to download minute-level power data as CSV.

Got these for free from Con Ed. Save your money goes offline a lot and seem like always at key moments when your on your way home and want to lower temperature.
