Q: Why is the receiver stem welded crooked? When mounted on hitch, winch is crooked 5 degrees?! Faulty?

I am not aware of my cradle being offset by 5 degrees. Mine appears to be straight on when in the receiver. I would contact X-Bull direct for an answer on that.

5 5/16 inches to the center of the hitch pin hole. The hitch pin hole is 5/8 inch.

Q: Will new model apex badlands 12,000 winch w/synthetic rope fit this mount ?

Not familiar with the Apex Badlands 12000 lbs winch, all I can say is the Badlands 12000 lbs winch that I have fit perfectly into the X-BULL Universal Winch Cradle's set of pre-drilled holes with no modification to the Cradle.

Q: What kind of electrical connections required?

that's dependent on the winch. this is just the cradle for the winch. no electrical components needed to bolt to this.
