Odd... it seems some people are getting the black and white version, but I received the full color version exactly as it should be. I also got the instrument procedures handbook - that one was in black and white and basically not usable. I guess it's just a coin toss.

All my faa books are skyhorse. Come in good quality and color

My Foreflight subscription includes this book but there are times were I just prefer the actual book. I use this book with all my students and it really helps to have nice big pictures right there.

Finally, a gov document that eloquently and concisely covers the information a student pilots needs for their Instrument Rating. Also a great reference with vivid illustrations.

Great introduction to instrument flying techniques and concepts. Easy to follow and good illustration and would recommend to anyone considering an IFR rating.

Folks, let's not buy this. No color pictures (color is necessary to understand some of the diagrams) and 'woolly' fonts - a hell to study if you have a few 100 pages to go.
