Happily, Cacao Butter does not contain detectable amounts of heavy metals. When cacao beans are ground into a paste and then cold pressed, the result is cacao butter and cacao powder. Do the cacao wafers (not the cacao butter wafers) have cacao butter in them, or has it been removed (like in the powder)?

Yes! Our Cacao Wafers are made by milling the whole cacao bean into a paste that is then formed into wafers. It includes the solids (cacao powder) and the fats (cacao butter) in their natural ratio.
