Our home does not have a smell at baseline or when the heat is on, but the AC has had a slightly musty odor since we purchased our home. I read about it, cleaned the inside and outside coils, and had our HVAC system professionally steam cleaned. The cleaning helped, but about a month later the musty smell was back. I read some more and determined that the coils needed UV treatment. I bought a very expensive unit that did not fit, returned it, and bought this unit for a much better price. It fit perfectly, I let it treat the coils for 24 hours, turned on the unit, and it completely neutralized the musty odor. Over a month later and still in the clear, the bulb indicator will show if one goes out, and my thermostat will notify me of my scheduled service dates (I perform these tasks). Very easy install, great price, worked immediately.

Excellent product, easy to install and works great

Installation was as simple as my novice mind can handle. All the instructions are there for you and I believe there are a few spare parts that come included in case you sneeze and drop a screw into your insulation. We installed this one after noticing the air quality in the house turning to trash causing my kids’ allergies to go insane.Based off of correlation and not causation, we’ve noticed a significant improvement on her breathing (which is a good thing that she can breathe now).

Ok got the job done, wouldn’t recommend

I set mine up to shine on the A-frame coils as I had an inspection that showed we had some mold starting to grow. I cleaned the mold off with acetone and no mold growth since they've been installed. I also purchased a complete set of replacement bulbs and have them stored right near with the order data so if I need a bulb then I can replace them then order spares.

Super easy to install.Put them wherever you have any mold growth.Best location is close to the coil on the return side and near the drain pan

Good product still working after five months of use. I know the bulbs will go out, but it’s an easy replacement and the fit seems to be pretty standard for interchangeability of different brands.
