Handy item for moving machinery
This is one of those tools that probably doesn’t get used everyday, but when you need it, it saves a lot of hassle. It seems very sturdy and I expect it will last a long time. I’ve mostly used these to move or lift heavy machinery in a wood shop. I have two criticisms…one, the leading edge of the pry bar is a little too thick. It would help if it was tapered a little because at about 1/4” thick, it doesn’t go easily under the machine I needed to move with it. Two, the packaging is inadequate for such a heavy object. I had one fail to deliver presumably because the packaging fell apart and the second one was almost out of the box when I got it.

Bar is not rated as head
5T head maybe. Bar 350 pounds. First use and bar bent to floor. Unacceptable. Maybe good a small pallet.

If you need to move something heavy this is the tool
Bought this to move heavy items off pallets. Move them around to set them on service pads. It’s awesome. Built correctly. A tool that will last.

A beast of a pry bar: huge and heavy, but can lift 6,000 lbs!
We needed a prybar to pull boards off of an aging deck. This things does the job without fluttering an eyelash. A beast of a tool, it takes some thinking to position properly and if you're not careful it can rip right through what you're trying to lift. But used properly it can pull boards, lift the corner of a sinking shed, pull stumps . . . whatever you throw at it! Be creative and safe and it will serve for decades.

Very impressive, but probably not a 6,000 pound bar….
I have hideously old burnt orange shag carpet from 1978 in my home office. We re-carpeted our home a while back, but I did not have the ability to move my gun safes so we didn’t do thatroom. It was a big regret, I wish we would’ve just cut around the safes and carpeted up to them. We are getting ready to carpet again and this time I was determined I was moving the safes and carpeting underneath them before putting them back. I figured this bar would do the job ,if it was really as strong as they advertise it to be.As you can see from the photos, I was able to lift this well over an inch off the floor with very little effort using this bar. I felt comfortable enough with the bars strength to keep the safe up off the ground that you can see that I even slid my hand underneath the Safe. My 160 pound wife held the prybar while I got on my hands and knees and put my hand underneath. she did it with very little effort. The largest gun safe that I have in my office is 5 feet wide and 5 feet tall. It weighs 860 pounds empty. I probably have close to 1500 to 2000 additional pounds in it with the 72 firearms that are in there, the knives, bayonets and a little bit of ammo. So all in I’m guessing this weighs close to 3000 pounds. This bar definitely lifted the safe with ease and in another month or two when it comes time to actually move it for the carpet, I’m convinced that this bar will give me the ability to do that. However, considering how much flex I can feel in the handle when I was raising the safe with it, I know there’s not a chance it’s going to hold up to double the weight, which is what this bar is advertised for. For 3000 pounds it definitely works. For 6000 pounds or more, I wouldn’t recommend trying it. Again, I was only testing this because I’m still a month or two out from getting my carpet, I just wanted to know now if this was going to work or not so I had time to find another option if it didn’t. It’ll be a month or two before I actually move this all the way out of the way. If the bar fails me at that time, I will update this review. As far as using it now, it works great. It appears to be fairly well built although like I said, I don’t think this will hold up to 6000+ pounds as they advertise. I think the handle will fail. It was easy to use and was well designed. It does seem they could’ve put different style rockers or plates on the bottom of it to allow you to pry things up a little higher. Regardless, it did the job and I am happy with it. It also seems to be a really good price for its performance. At least I can say that I’m happy with it. It was a bit of a chore getting it underneath my safe, but I used two carpenters flat bars and stepped on them and was able to get it up just enough to get this prybar underneath. Without those, I would’ve never gotten it up off the ground far enough to get this underneath. I used the same method to remove this prybar from underneath it. Everything worked great. This will be a handy tool to have laying around for years to come.
