Versatile.
Very versatile and a good size. The slow cook feature s great for cheaper cuts of meat that require a long cook, this feature is also great for making soup - I have found that potatoes and swede cook better if diced small - carrots, onions, leek, sweet potato are ok though. Heats up quickly if using the bake setting and heats through steak bakes and pizzas quickly without the expense of putting an oven on. I have not tried baking a cake/scones yet but very happy with what I have used it for. The handles of the main heating body and the cooking insert are inline above each other, as I store mine on a low shelf I have learnt to make sure I have grabbed the bottom handles to ensure I safely lift it as a complete unit - although the unit it is not overly heavy - for someone who has limited strength it could be beneficial to them that the unit is in two parts and both have large handles. I would definitely purchase one again and recommend others to give it a try.

Can be used to simmer too
It works well as a slow cooker, but will also roast and saute. I'm using the saute programme at the moment, on the lowest setting to cook a shepherd's pie mixture and will do the same for a spag bol mixture this week. It works well on that setting, leaving the lid off, so will reduce like a normal spag bol mixture, but will take far more than the normal pan it's done in. So ideal for freezing some if that's what you want to do. This is my second one - the first one did show signs of a problem on the non-stick coating but I think that was when I was doing a leg of lamb on high for a while to brown the skin - I think maybe it was too much for the coating. But I wouldn't recommend doing a leg of lamb on high for so long anyway because the smoke was horrendous.

A real disappointment!
I went from a regular Crockpot in the 1970's to newer and better models, then progressed to a Ninja with all thr bells and whistles. Now, time to downsize and, after a lot of study and looking around, I found this Crockpot. Initially, I loved it. It was exactly what I wanted. I used it 4 times and then, suddenly, it wouldn't start. I tried different plugs and still nothing. In addition to the not starting, I noticed the bottom of the Crockpot insert was covered in little bubbles in the surface. I notice from other reviews that the suddenly not working seems to be an ongoing problem. Whatever the problem is with this Crockpot, I would hope it is fixed permanently as soon as possible because it really has potential. I've returned it for a refund.

Good quality and easy to use
Love this crock pot. Very easy to use and super quick to clean. The really useful addition of theroast and saute function negate the need for another cooking source. Overall very efficient, energy saving product. Now using it more than the traditinal oven. Highy recommended addition for the kitchen

Updated: Working a charm now
Updated Review:After going back to amazon they arranged for a replacement to be sent out immediately and for the return of the original. Replacement turned up the next day and since then ìve been using it almost everyday for slow cooking and saute stuff. It's been a great little product and now feel it's worth the buying. It does lose a star however for the edges of the dish being sharp and cutting my arm twice.Original review:In the few days I have had this I've loved it. Cooked sausages, a stew and a nice chunky soup. Then got up and it just no longer ger worked. The LCD display just showed a dashed line on it.A bit of checking and it seems to be a pressure plate issue. And indeed when I pressed the plate down all the way the cooker turned on. So sending it back for a replacement. Hopefully that one will work for more than a few days!

Only thing it doesn't do is put the food in the fridge when cooked. Essential for any busy home.
The wife wanted this as the next step after using a traditional slow cooker. The additional features are useful for "one pot" cooking - great if it's your turn to wash up. Good sturdy product, the cooking tray is non-stick so really easy to clean and use for browning meat & sweating down veg before slow cooking. Good size as well - you can easily get 6 decent stew portions out of a cook. Only thing I need it to do that it doesn't is put the food in the fridge when it's cooked.Don't forget to like this review if it was useful.

Awesome
This is simply an amazing thing. I saute then simmer, I saute then slow cook for the day, I steam fish on the Verandah so my house doesn't smell, I slow cook from raw, and I have barely touched the list of things this machine is capable of. It looks good, I am washing it by hand and the non stick is brilliant. The glass lid is great for checking on progress. I didn't do well wth cooking Sushi Rice in it, so if anyone has thoughts on that I would be glad to hear them, but if you work hard and want a slow cooker, go camping and want healthy food after a day walking, want to cook in one pot cleanly conveniently and above all well then this is the cooker for you. Just brilliant - and no one paid me to say this either!

Good multi cooker
This is a really useful slow cooker plus other tasks can be done too. It came quickly and was well packaged and I use it quite often. It allows you to brown the food prior to then turning it to slow cook and I often use it to shallow fry items such as bacon, eggs etc. It wipes clean and also the pain pan can be taken out and hand washed. It can be used as an oven and has a rack but this is fairly slow compared to the oven or a combination microwave oven. The only real negative is it is fairly heavy when filled, which mey not suit arethritic hands?over all very please, thanks.
