Great headphones with AptX Bluetooth codec and a 3.5mm jack.
You can use the Edifier W800BT Plus headphones with a smartphone via Bluetooth version 5.1 or 3.5mm on a TRS cord by itself or plugged into a adapter for listening to USB C or similar audio source. Make sure the adapter works with a microphone signal or you cannot use the Edifier headphones on a cord if you want to chat on mic. I am using a Google Pixel 7 and the discontinued Google 3.5 mm to USB C white colored adapter. The cord that came with the headphones is a TRS cord and has good sound stage and length. When you plug in a cord it automatically turns off the Bluetooth. I usually leave the headphones at 100% volume on the headphones and control the volume on the smartphone or other devices. I allows me to have to have accurate control of the volume levels + only need to use one volume. Plus on my smartphone I can see the exact % amount of volume level(s). The headphones do get loud. You can change the sound profile on the Edifier Connect app or the newer Edifier Connect X app. Battery is ridiculously excellent with its 55 plus hours. Which means I can go several days without needing to charge. Even at the end of the day maybe 10 or 12 hours of usage. It works well with a battery operated radio like the CC Pocket by C.Crane when on the 3.5mm jack input. Plus you can charge the headphones while it's plugged in but you can't charge it while in Bluetooth mode. Remember the plus version is USB C version and 5.1 Bluetooth. I like the flexibility of Bluetooth and 3.5mm so if I wanted to I could use the Edifier headphones on a portable CD/cassette player, battery operated radio, record player something without Bluetooth. I would say these headphones would work well for people who watch TV/streaming and have a modern TV that has Bluetooth for volume output for quiet listening. Just remember sometimes they don't sync up the Bluetooth Audio with the on-screen lip syncing, but that's easily fixed by re-pair or turning off the Bluetooth off and on. The Edifier Connect app or the newer edifier Connect X app has limited sound stage changes but it's useful for adding a little more balanced bass to your sound. If you want more audio choices try looking into the phone settings as some of them are turned off by default by manufacturer or cellular company. Some of them are in developer mode. The headphones are comfortable while eating and drinking and don't slip off easily or get cot on the hair. These headphones don't fold but are not heavy. Remember the these are good plastic headphones and stylish. They didn't have a Edifier case/bag or stand in the box but you can buy some off of Amazon or something. The Edifier W800BT Plus might be a few years old model but it is still modern enough for most people. There is some newer versions in the W800BT like that SE and Pro versions. From what I can see the SE is basically similar to plus version but removes the 3.5 mm. Jack and integrates USB C audio into the charging port and the pro model includes active noise cancellation ANC. The new models may have More programming on the edifier connect X apps for the newer version Don't get the w800bt because the original uses micro USB for charging which is very hard to find a cord for these days. By the way I don't think the original is sold anymore and isn't even supported on the new edifier connect X app. Over-The-Ear headphones like these are good because you don't need two headphones; one for Bluetooth and one for wired connection (as in most cases they do make adapters for 3.5 mm cords for most of the odd older headphone jack versions you may find on older stereos or musical instrument equipment). These headphones sound pretty neutral not flat sounding and excellent when plugged into a laptop 3.5 mm headphone jack with Dolby Atmos engaged or when using Bluetooth. If you use the headphones connected to a USB C audio on a laptop they don't sound as good as the 3.5 mm jack but that might be just because of the dac and the way USB C-Audio works on USB 4 ports. The edifier w800bt Plus do sound excellent when connected to a smartphone both on Bluetooth and USB C audio. These type of headphones I like also because I use them outdoors as earmuffs as well. They keep my ears warm but not sweaty and they don't hurt my head as my head and ears got used to wearing these headphones. Like I said earlier these headphones are good because you can use them on a cord while charging whereas the newer ones you would loose the ability to charge while listening in corded mode, only a single USB C port. In my opinion, if you absolutely need a headphones with ANC look for some of the other edifier models that still have a 3.5 mm jack or remember to charge when you're not using the headphones on the newer versions. Value for the money.

Great Headphones
I took a chance and bought these headphones, based on reviews. These headphones are a truly great deal in that they perform well, the sound quality is as good as more expensive headphones that I own. They have a very long, generous battery life and they pair fairly easily. They are more than worth the price and I consider them a real bargain. I have been completely satisfied with them and I believe they are durable and will last a long time. They have soft cushions and are quite comfortable. I give them a 5-star rating and I would purchase them again.

A Solid, Affordable Pair of Headphones
What They Are: Lightweight, Stylish, and Comfy! What They’re Not: Noise CancellingThese headphones offer solid performance at an affordable price point. While they may not deliver anything extraordinary, it's unrealistic to expect that from a pair of headphones priced below a couple hundred dollars. The overall quality is decent, and the sound output is satisfactory. However, it's worth noting that external noises are only partially muffled, so complete sound isolation from your surroundings isn't achieved. One noticeable drawback is that the sound occasionally pauses for a moment when switching between apps on your phone, which can be a bit annoying. Nevertheless, considering their price range, these headphones are on par with other options available in the $30-$50 range. In conclusion, if you're seeking a budget-friendly pair of headphones that offer decent audio quality without breaking the bank, these headphones are a reasonable choice. Just keep in mind the minor inconvenience of sound pauses during app switching.

Comfortable, sound great
I buy a lot of headphones and have found price doesn't always equal sound quality. Here is another example of a great value. Uses AptX codec for better Bluetooth sound on Android (sorry iPhone you are stuck on AAC) Very comfortable and light. The white ones in particular look sharp. Range is fantastic, in my office I can go 100 feet and around walls and they still work. Sound quality is excellent, deep lows a crisp highs. Not really accurate but the sound great for the price. Picked up a pair in white and black. My only nitpick is I wish they folded for better storage.

Great headphones – my son loves them!
I bought these headphones for my son, and he’s really happy with them. The sound quality is great, and they’re comfortable to wear for long periods. He uses them for music, games, and online classes with no complaints. The design is also very stylish. Overall, a great purchase — highly recommend!

Battery Life Is A JOKE!!
These seemed ok up until the point it was too late to return them (30 days). Now I’m lucky if they last 45 minutes before dying! Other than the fact that they’re virtually useless without a decent battery, they would’ve been decent in every other regard. Except that they’re not really noise canceling, as they claim they are. They do an ok job at dampening outside noise, but they are FAR from noise canceling!

Good size
The size of the ear part is really wide and very good for people who have piercings but the sound quality isn’t the best. It’s a good deal for it’s price though! I’m just picky about sound quality
