A beautiful film
This is a beautiful film about dealing with grief and trying to be ok, or at least pretending to be, after suffering a crushing loss, and the challenges an insensitive family and community can present. Subtly written and beautifully performed, the film is charming, funny, touching, poignant, and heartbreaking. This film touched me deeply, and is relevant to anyone who’s ever had a family or lived anywhere.

Grief, Betrayal, Humor -- and Wine! Watch It!
If you pay attention to film ratings, go with the Amazon one (very high), not the IMDB one. I almost didn't watch it cause of the IMDB rating, and that would have been a pity - since it is really quite good. I lost a loved one to cancer recently, and this does capture some of that experience -- made me cry at points -- while it also had plenty of lighthearted moments and humor.. Thought the lead actress, Velinda Godfrey (apparently the writer) did a fantastic job. The relationship is one you want to watch unfold -- and, yes, it has a few moments of passion, for those who like a little ooo-la-la. Watch it, you won't be disappointed.

A surprising gem
You know when you start a queer indie film that it's a crapshoot. Took a gamble on Heartland, and it was actually pretty good. Well-acted, neatly produced, a cohesive and interesting narrative. The two leads have good chemistry and are allowed a decent amount of time to build a relationship. The supporting performances are good as well.A grief-stricken woman, Lauren, returns home after her girlfriend passes away. Her mother, a "tolerant" bigot, welcomes her home but will not accept that Lauren is gay. When Lauren's brother visits with his girlfriend in tow, Lauren and the girlfriend, Carrie, hit it off and get close while the brother is away on business.I won't spoil the plot. Instead, I'll say the characters are written realistically, with realistic motivations. Oklahoma is used as an affectionate backdrop. It's well-directed, well-acted, and really, you can't ask for much more of a film with this kind of budget.

Oklahoma drama
Not interesting enough, better if it was on prime because $4 rental not recommended. The story is really slow for the first half then rushes through the second. Brief romance that is unresolved. No conclusions- what happens after? Other than siblings forgive each other. The two women are also the only likable characters, he is all about himself and the winery, treats her like an employee rather than a partner. The film is hardly four star quality, just mediocre.

Love, Loss, Family & Home
There are so few movies out there of this quality, both in its cinematography and its acting. While most will look at it and think it's a nice film about two women falling in love...it's really not. It's about love and loss, responsibilities and expectations, family and home. It was not what I expected and I am pleasantly surprised and will recommend this to anyone who's ever been cast aside by family for choices made...and who are looking to find a way back.

Goodness abounds
This is the best series out there, it’s very family oriented and very engaging. I find it most entertaining; I wish there were other shows like this one.

BEST LGBTQ MOVIE I HAVE SEEN!
Bravo! First REALISTIC LGBT movie I have seen. Also, The acting was genuine. The team that brought this movie together was very well versed in the Oklahoman culture and that was breathtaking! Thank you for a great movie that made us laugh and smile!

I almost loved it. Something was not quite 5-star worthy to me. Perhaps because there were a few weird edit cuts where it seemed to be like a skip in a CD. Cinematography was better than anticipated. In all honesty I was expecting it to be a typical lesbian 2-3 star movie but was pleasantly surprised to find that the acting of the two female leads was fantastic. You really do feel for the characters. Probably one of the few LGBTQ movies that doesn't end with a dead body, but it's the happiest ending i've seen thus far. Worth the watch.
