I am over 70 and have a problem with my eyesight so needed a clock in the bedroom that I could easily read from my bed when placed on a chest of drawers a few metres away, and this meets all that. It was easy to set up and program the time but I don't use the alarm and have it turned off so cant comment on that. It has several brightness settings and can also dim automatically at night to compensate for it being in a dark room. I do have it powered by USB which is incorporated into my twin bedside mains socket (another worthy purchase) so cant comment on battery use. I paid £5.99 when it was on offer and all in all I'm very pleased by the quality and price.

Unfortunately I’ll send back this clock . It’s not working smoothly with batteries . Won’t display the time continuously, after few seconds it switches off and need to touch it to able to read the time. I tried with usb access. It works perfectly with it , however I doesn’t have usb connection where I was planning to place this clock .

The parcel arrived on time and the instructions were easy to follow. I like the blue numbers in the dark, but they are very difficult to see in sunlight.

Oh boy, this device turns itself off after every 5 seconds. I am a teacher, and I wanted to use it in my classroom. To check the time, I need to get the clock and push the button to see it. Did not work for me. What`s the point of having a clock that turns off? This is terrible.

I love this clock!For MY particular purposes it is ideal.Why I love this clock: These type of clocks seem to all be quite bright, even on their dimmest setting. Too bright for me. This one I operate with just the batteries. It is the size of my mobile phone and same shape. Slick and sits neatly. On battery settings the clock is on idle (not displaying anything), when i wake up in the night and want to know the time, all I need do is gently tap my bedside table and it lights up for 3 seconds. Perfect.alarm: I have my mobile phone. As I need to get up at different times every day, that is easiest for me. So haven't used the alarm clock.The clock is perfect as it doesn't disturb my sleep, it sits so neatly taking up very little space and I get to see the time when i want to. And at a cheap price too.Only negative seems to be that the cord supplied is very short and has no 3 pin plug. The bit you attach to the clock seems to only half go in, leaving it half exposed. I am going to refrain from using the power supply as a precaution. Not sure what (if any) EU or British electric standard tests this product has passed. Battery operated is probably safer! (which suits my purposes anyway)

Temperature sensor is higher (around 4-5c), and this is not just this particular product, but similar ones at around this price range (£7 - £15).Apart from this, this model is good size, easy to read, very bright, even at lowest brightness.
