I have used shaving oil for many years as I find shaving foams and gels do nothing to soften the beard. I normally use a much cheaper oil which I found to be really good but couldn't get it in my local supermarket so, although this is more expensive, I thought I would give it a go. So glad I did. You can use this oil sparingly as it goes a very long way. Literally just a few drops did the job. Just a little bit of water added after it is applied and it becomes almost creamy. I was surprised how little you have to use and I reckon that I will get as much use out of this one bottle than I would out of a few of my former favourite which I always thought was good. There is a nice perfume to this oil as well and it does leave your face feeling fresh and more importantly scrape free. I have tried other oils in the same price range but nothing yet has performed anywhere near as well as this. I am glad I found it.I didn't get a free sample or a discount on this product so this is my genuine review.

OK. Had better but does the job.

Have used this pre-shave lotion twice now with my electric shaver. Yes it softens my stubble 2 days growth and so makes for a smoother shave with my neck area particularly and now feeling less dry and irrittating and a little less redness. My only dislike is the size off the bottle you get. It is a bit expensive for the quantity you get, it needs to be in a little bit bigger bottle so it lasts longer as I work away from home as a lorry Driver and use my electric shaver 2 or 3 times a week. It would be helpfully if it was a larger bottle off lotion, but not a large increase in the price.

I use an electric shaver and it is not making any difference. Waste of money.

I had been using a previous shaving oil which I could no longer find in the shops and stumbled upon this one by accident by searching for shaving oils. Based on previous reviews I decided to give it a try. I have been using this oil for over a month now and I am very impressed. I had a very bad shaving rash on the right side of my face which never seemed to heal, even though I never shaved on the weekends. The shaving oil I was using previously just seemd to moisturise it without actually healing it. Having used this oil for just over the past month, the shaving rash has 95% gone which is simply amazing ! And yes before you ask, I am still shaving mon-fri for work which was exactly as before with the other oil and my shaving routine is exactly the same, but I still had the rash. All I can say is the ingredients are of a very good quality and actually seem to help heal and moisturise the skin leaving a very smooth and soft finish. I only wish I had taken a photo of the shaving rash before as it really was quite unsightly to look at. I was actually thinking of seeing my GP to refer me to a dermatologist, it was that bad. I highly recommend this shaving oil and will no doubt be back to purchase more once I run out. Thank you for such a high quality product.

Overly expensive and not superior to other products for far less.

I am a straight razor user and have used a few oils in the past. I shaved half my face using only this oil, and the other half using the oil with shaving cream on top.I was extremely pleased with the results. The oil works well on its own, feels really nice on the skin and has a pleasant mild fragrance. When used with shaving cream as well it doesn't affect the fragrance of the shave cream at all either.The oil allowed me to shave effectively, leaving me with no nicks or cuts, and no razor burn even after a second pass on the neck. After the shave my skin felt nice and I didn't even bother with a post shave balm as I felt it wasn't needed.Overall I am impressed with this product's performance.
