Great gift idea
I bought this as a birthday gift and they loved it. Not uncomfortable, has a good weight, easy to assemble. I read a review about the reel not being so good. I ended up ordering a spare incase. It was a good idea I did. The reel isn't too good, but for the price your paying it's good enough. I would also recommend getting a replacement reel. The value for your money with its performance makes this a great gift.

Super flimsy, does not shoot dart properly, certainly not fast enough to hit a fish

Needs longer darts
The craftsmanship is great but the darts are too short and drew blood when combined with an actual hook . Also way too cumbersome for fishing ....as a bird pellet shooter it's great ......so longer dart and it'll be fine . It is powerful though. I will give it that

It works
4.5, It is a little hard to manage at first, but for 35 bucks it does what it is intended to do. It gets fish in the boat or from the bank. The reel takes some getting use to. Make sure you tighten your Mounting screw after every outting(use pliers). And take some practice shots before going out. Range is very limited but to be expected; max effective range: 4-7 feet max anything pass that is a lucky shot unless you're some special forces sniper, good luck out there!!!! TIGHT LINEZ!!!
