Stellarscope Star Finder
Bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. Arrived very quickly and was well packaged. This item is suitable for introducing youngsters or complete novices to the fun of astronomy. I would recommend this to other people.

Very good little finder
Very good little finder, took a little bit of getting used to, but makes it much easier to identify what your looking at.

Star gazing
Was a bit confused with how this works and was expecting something a little different when I received the product. Once you figure it out it’s not to bad.

A novelty item, not much use - get a Planisphere instead
This is basically a look-into Planisphere, it does give a chart of the stars in the night sky at a specific date and time and latitude (and includes charts for the northern and southern hemisphere). But I find a Planisphere disk more useful as it is bigger and you can use post-it stickers to indicate where the planets are as well (many websites will tell you where the planets are in the sky at any given time). I think it is a bit pricey for what it is.

Fine for a child's first star map
This star finder is very limited.... its plastic drums feel cheap and the star maps on the tiny image screen are uninspiring. Fine for a child's first star map, but not otherwise

It’s not a telescope!
Bought this for my daughter’s visit to Australia as they have fantastic night skies, so I’ve heard. I should have read the comments before buying. It is a cylinder that shows (printed) the constellations and can be set for northern and southern hemispheres. It is ideal for an enthusiastic beginner and is sturdy but was unsuitable for my daughter.
