MiChic Mother of Pearl Silver Locket with Chain

This heart locket is really nice I looked at EVERY locket as a gift some silly prices some more realistic for what they are. The picture is realistic it's beautiful and is good quality through out the inside is machined and is neat. For the price its great ,very well made. The locket has a secure closing. With two pictures of family in it made a great gift for my wife. I know good quality and have in the past spent hundreds of pounds on jewelry even thousands, (once)! I can't fault this. The design on the front if you look closely does resemble a letter 'A' not sure why if at all why, but if its relevant to you it would make this even more special.

This is just lovely. Normally I wouldn't wear this type of necklace (I like my silver T-Bar), but having bought three new jumpers with V-necks they needed something in the neck and this necklace has all the colours of my jumpers.It's a really good price and comes in a lovely box, so if you're going to give it as a present, it certainly doesn't look cheap. If you're keeping it for yourself and like earrings etc to match your necklace, there are some lovely ones to choose from.The pendant is of a weight that it stays put and the chain is a nice length. My only negative comment would be that I would have liked the chain to be a bit heavier.

We liked the locket, but unfortunately the mother-of-pearl on the front had a slight defect. This has caused us to rate it a little less highly than we would otherwise have done.

This is beautiful. I've seen the bad reviews and have to say mine isn't tarnished in any way nor is the MIL inlay. My only complaints would be it is very hard to open due to slight mis-alignment of pin (but I'm actually glad because My hubby bought me expensive gold one many years ago that opened too easily), there is no photo holder (although this is my fault as it does show in pictures that there isn't and I never noticed) and it is a bit rough inside but this is not something you will be looking at - especially when photos are in. I can imagine there are variations on quality but mine is worth every penny and more. Silver isn't cheap in the jewellers where I live - not seen a silver locket this size anywhere close to this price and that's without MOP inlay!

The pendant looks lovely and feels solid and well put together, it is quite intricate and on close inspection you are impressed by the detailing and craftsmanship. However on this closer inspection you can see slight flaws where the mother of pearl has been shaped in order to put into the pendant. This really is only minor criticism considering the value for money this gift offers (you can see this on the zoomed in photo, it is the darkness around the edges of the mother of pearl). I have read that people complained that there was no clip for keeping a photo in place, however the insides of the pendant have a slightly hollowed out design so when you squeeze in a photo it slots in place. Very pleased with this purchase as it made my wife very very happy!

The photo doesn’t really do it justice as in person this is a very nice piece, of course this is only £50 so i am not expecting a masterpiece as some reviewers have rated harshly, so first thing to notice is the size, yes its a locket so its a little chunky however the overall dimensions are perfect for most people, you can add a very small photo or note inside which is ideal, it can be tricky to open up at times, but overall this is a beautiful piece for the price and i’m sure you will not be disappointed, neither would the receiver of the gift.

A beautiful locket. My wife loved it but like other reviewers have said, after a few days it disappeared from her neck!

Description on Amazon misleading as describes RRP as £112 but item on poor quality chain and certainly not worth that price. I have researched this item and found exact same locket in "The Locket Tree" for £39.99 which is more appropriate. I would have expected more from Amazon .i.e not falsely inflating RRP to make potential purchasers think they are buying a higher quality item than it actually is, hence will be returning it. I also do not think I should meet return costs of £6 + as would not have purchased in first place if item had been accurately priced as would have realised it would not be up to much.
